"Sea Grass" House 7 Br with inground pool

The "Sea Grass" house is a perfect setting for your family reunion and other gatherings. This 7 Bedroom house is located only 2 short blocks to the beautiful Atlantic Ocean. On the closest corner there's an ice cream and hot dog stand with sidewalk seating, a giant beach store, and Molly Darcy's Irish Pub for lunch or happy hour on the ocean front sun deck, all within just a 5 minute walk.

The kitchen is located on the lower level with granite counter tops, new cabinets, full-sized appliances, and abundant dishware for cooking a great dinner at the beach. Dining seating around the table is just off the kitchen. Stackable washer/dryer located upstairs in guest room. Bed and bath linens are included with your reservation, beds will be freshly made upon arrival, kitchen and bathrooms will be supplied with paper products and hotel size soaps. All bedrooms have a flat screen TV.

Great family reunion or group space with a small private pool to dip when you have had enough of the hot sandy beach. There are rockers on the shaded front porch with views of the ocean. Sorry, POOL CANNOT BE HEATED.

Parking for 4 vehicles (mid-size) but less space if all are large SUV type. The city does offer a dozen or so local "street" parking spaces within the immediate block area, but none of these can be guaranteed because it's first come first serve basis for the public and beach goers.

*Please Note - reservation requires minimum age of 25. Groups must consists of half adults over the age of 25. Adults must be present on property from arrival date to departure date, to supervise and accept responsibility for group.

Great vacation

The house was clean and nice size to fit the entire family. Loved the 3 or 4 min walk to the beach and pool at house. I enjoyed how many places there were in walking distance. Our beach access had banana boating and parasailing which the family was able to enjoy both! The beach was nice and not overcrowded on the right side where we rented chairs with umbrellas. We walked to get ice cream, lunch, the souvenir shop, convenience store, and mini golf all which were a hit. Overall we had a great week and enjoyed working with owner direct vacation rentals who were very friendly and helpful.

Needs updates and better housekeeping

The location of the house is great. It’s a short walk to the beach, walking distance to Mr. G’s ice cream shop, 2 gift shops, and putt putt golf. We had 4 young teenagers and they loved this! The pool was great for the kids as well. For the negatives- the house is in pretty bad shape. The furniture is very old and worn down. The place needs a deep clean! The walls, doors, baseboards, corners of bathrooms were disgusting. The outdoor grill wasn’t clean and had to clean it before use. Also, I would recommend a couch instead of another dining room table on the main level where the tv is.

Crescent Beach

The house was in a great location and the swimming pool was very nice for the kids! Plenty of room in the house for a family of 14, but be sure to take extra towels and wash clothes as there is not enough. If you plan on cooking, be sure to take pot holders and dish towels as there are none. There are dishes and cooking utensils but no way to wash them off, dishwasher only. You can also hear everything happening in the house as the voices carry thru the walls, the beds make noise and the floors lets you hear everyones movement! Other than all of that, it was spacious and in a great location. Very convenient beach access, just a short walk from the house. Our family had a great time!

The house was nice. We had a few issues upon arrival but the maintenance team was GREAT!!!!

The house was nice. The air conditioner had to be replaced, the hot water heater had to be fixed, the TV’s didn’t work, the sink upstairs was leaking, the dishwasher need to be fixed. But, the maintenance crew was excellent and everything fixed within 1st days. The backyard needs some attention. The website says grill on premises, but VERY small and not cleaned (we didn’t touch ) since the maintenance team was excellent we will be back. Great location near beach, pool small but enough for 3-4 people to enjoy and relax.

Great location to beach . Great floor plan for a large group. House needs some repairs & updates . Floor in master and kitchen needs repaired badly. Backyard terrible , rickety fenced in area needs torn down. Housekeeping could do a better job cleaning. Pool small but nice! Plenty of cookware and dishes.

Everything we Wanted

Renting this property through VRBO and Owner Direct was very easy. After hours/weekend check-in and check-out was very convenient and easy. The house was as described. The pool was a bit smaller than expected from the pictures, but it was adequate for 3 or 4 people at a time. The walk to the beach was easy and the dairy bar down the street was fabulous! We would definitely stay here again.

3.5 Stars overall- 5 star location- misleading property we feel

The location of this property is great. That and the pool were the ONLY reasons this place is getting what we feel is 3.5 stars. We've stayed at several VRBO's and this place is managed by a separate company- maybe that's where it goes wrong... We are not super-picky travelers. It was our family of 4 (boys ages 2 & 4) and another couple with their 5 year old son. The pool out front was awesome (although smaller). The beds were comfy to sleep on. HOWEVER- the pictures online need to be updated. There is no couch downstairs. For some reason a second table was in the "living room". The bedrooms are essentially old dining rooms/offices with a bed in them. The floors creaked TERRIBLY as they need to be redone. We found there was no silverware, garbage bags for the bathrooms, dish soap, toiletries of any kind except a small bar of "body soap". There were also no baking sheets and the sink had no garbage disposal- and the ice machine didn't work. We like to cook and this was all very discouraging. The management company did come to give us silverware. They fixed a TV that stopped working but even after the fix a majority of the channels did not work. Most rental houses these days have those items standard but the management company said they were "starter kits" where you only get towels and linens essentially. They should step up their game. For a management company to charge extra for their fees I was expecting a little more. When most private owners have this ready for travelers when they arrive. All that being said. We enjoyed the location, the walks to the beach and ice cream shop. Our boys played in the pool and we had a good time. I just felt very misled for paying the price we did to get such poor amenities. I hope this helps you know what you're getting into prior to booking so you can go prepared.
