'I never leave negative reviews, but this experience was very disappointing. When I checked in, my room had no toiletrie . Later that evening, I found that all of the towels had visible stains. The front desk eventually brought replacement towels, but they were also stained. This made me question whether the room had been properly cleaned before my arrival. 'The layout of the building is a little weird. Our room was located near the corner of an L, from our room we could see directly into the other rooms and vice versa unless we had our blinds closed. The breakfast was only ok. I wish there was a waffle maker, they ran out of food, plates and bowls 2 out of the 3 days we stayed there. 'The River Tree is an excellent value here in this waterfront town of Clarkston. The rooms are clean, spacious, and well-furnished. They serve a REAL breakfast, starting very early. The staff are knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful. The price is very reasonable. This is my GO-TO place on my frequent trips here.'

'I really like how the property was pet friendly and there were lots of restaurants and stores close by. Very convenient location. The room was clean and staff were really friendly. The breakfast option was good. Only thing I didn’t like was that although there was a back patio by the bar/restaurant, we were not able to sit there to eat and have a drink with our dog.'

'View was amazing. It's difficult to summarize everything as they are a work in progress. The food , dinner and breakfast was absolutely incredible and worth buying in advance. The road to the tents is a bit steep but ok. Beds super comfortable and just a bit of TLC needed to make the tent really special. Worth the visit and owners are very receptive to comments. We will definitely return for a visit.'
