'Excellent staff! Convenient location close to shops & restaurants. I’ve stayed here twice and there always seems to be some strange people hanging around in the parking lot. I haven’t experienced any issues but it’s a little unsettling. Overall it’s a decent place to lay your head at the end of a fun day exploring Monterey. '

'Staff is not very friendly. Rooms are small. Hotel is very noisy. It is a neighborhood where you don't want to walk at night. Would not recommend this one. Will stay somewhere else next time.'

'Not too close to campus However a great spot for a quick overnight trip!'

'The checkin made me doubt stay since it was dirty, there was lack of communication and manners and I did not feel welcome at all. The room was medium clean, with some hairs and a lot of stains on the bed. The neighborhood did not seem safe. Also the room lock is with a number lock. Which changed every day and had to be reset?? Worst stay of our 2 week trip.'

'Pleasantly surprising value. Prices are low but the rooms were well-maintained. A few minor upgrades might be needed like towel racks inside bathrooms, soap holders, and toilet paper holders.'
