  • WAAROM VERBLIJF IN DEZE BUURT? Veiligheid, geen misdaad! Arabi ligt in St. Bernard Parish (graafschap). Arabi heeft een superieure wetshandhaving die geen misdaad tolereert. Als je in Arabi blijft, kun je genieten van alle leuke dingen die New Orleans te bieden heeft, maar je keert terug naar Arabi zonder zorgen dat iemand je huis of auto binnendringt. Ook kun je 's nachts veilig door de straten lopen in deze buurt. Neem geen risico. Geniet van een vakantie zonder criminaliteit door in dit huis te verblijven!

    Mooi huis met 4 slaapkamers, 3 badkamers gelegen op een paar blokken van de lijn van New Orleans in het historische oude Arabi. De woning ligt op een groot hoekperceel met voldoende gratis parkeergelegenheid. Naast dat het 6,5 km van de Franse wijk ligt, is het ook net zo dicht bij een bootlancering die de beste vismogelijkheden van het land biedt. Dus blijf een paar extra dagen en breng uw boot of huur een visgids. Dit is het veiligste gebied in de stad! In tegenstelling tot New Orleans hebben we veel politie in Arabi en ze tolereren geen riff-vlot dat hier komt om misdaden te plegen. Arabi ligt in St. Bernard Parish (graafschap). Mijn vrouw en ik houden van New Orleans. We hebben onze favoriete restaurants en plaatsen om te gaan in New Orleans, maar we komen graag naar ons huis in St. Bernard Parish om 's nachts veilig te slapen met gemoedsrust.

    Merk ook op dat voor het zijn 3 mijl, (10 minuten rijden) van de Franse wijk, de tarieven 1/3 zijn van wat dezelfde grootte huis zou zijn in de buurt van de wijk.

The house was spacious, clean, in a safe neighborhood, and about 20 minutes from the French Quarter. The air conditioning worked well which is important for the hot muggy weather we were experiencing. I took off a star for a couple of reasons. First, the house wasn’t stocked with extra paper towels or laundry detergent, and was short on toilet paper so we had to go buy some. Second, the toilet in one of the bathrooms got backed up and plunging it wasn’t working so we weren’t able to use one of the bathrooms. Third, two of the bedrooms had comfy beds but the other two didn’t. It was a little springy. Despite all these we enjoyed our visit to NOLA and stay at the house.

Good host communication. House is in a great location. Close enough to the city but out of the craziness. Great place to celebrate our daughter’s 21st birthday during Mardi Gras!

It's a good house for big parties in a safe neighborhood.... but...a) the host never responded to numerous textsb) the house is a bit sparse (and some couches seemed dusty)c) the host didn't provide many basics (no extra toilet paper or paper towels, no shampoo or body wash or soap at all) So if you go in knowing all that then you can get decent value for a four bedroom house.

Nice property

Lots of space

Nice house with lots of space. A bit dated but was confortable and a good location not far from New Orleans French Quarter. Neighborhood was nice.

Browns Game

Went down for the Browns game. Larry was a great host. Communicated very well. Left us great places to visit while we were there. Location was great. Will stay again.

Enjoyable Experience

Our family enjoyed the space this house had for everyone to be together. The large dining table made a wonderful gathering place for meals and board games. The home is conveniently located to downtown New Orleans which was very helpful, and it has great parking. We had a really enjoyable experience.

Wonderful location in a great neighborhood!

We were 15 minutes from downtown New Orleans. The house was quite charming with beautiful floors and plenty of space for the 5 of us. Definitely exceeded our expectations!

Birthday trip

What a perfect place for the 7 of us to come together from Florida, Colorado and Iowa to celebrate our birthdays! The house is lovely and spacious and the neighborhood is clean and quiet. We could make short trips to the airport, the grocery store, beignet run, across the lake, the garden district and the zoo!

The property was spacious and located in a truly wonderful neighborhood (Arabi, St. Bernard Parish.) It was generally represented accurately from the VRBO listing with a few minor changes. Overall a great experience.

Perfect!

We had a blast! The house is beautiful. The location is beautiful. Mr. Larry is nothing but amazing. He was always available when we needed him. There was even a play pen for my 1 yr old. We felt at home. Would definitely stay here again.

Great property

First off, this trip was off the hook for my group. The house is big, the neighborhood quiet, and not far from the FQ. It was super clean, all bathrooms had plenty of towels. Beds were quite comfy with clean linens. We made do in the kitchen with what was there. Larry was more than accomdating as a host. 5 stars all around!

The house was in a convenient location.

The 8 adults went in pairs or more where they wished to go. Everybody was impressed with all the ways and means and operations and performances. We were fascinatingly impressed. Enjoyed every minute.

Nice but a little outdated

The house was nice but a bit outdated. The porch was dark coming and going as the motion light does turn on until you are right at the door and the sliding doors need blinds as anyone can see in at night while we were in the living area. The basement bathroom had a weird step down and one of our group fell. Suggestions would be to put up blinds and put someone on that step to show it’s there for safety

Perfect location for our trip to NOLA

We loved our time in NOLA- being able to stay in a home that was close to the French Quarter but not too close was awesome. What made us choose this home was the dining room, kitchen, and living room areas that were larger than most other homes I considered. We spent most of our time together as a family so these areas were perfect. (Except the couch needs to be retired. Great size but sinking in in some spots) Larry was a great host who responded quickly to any questions I had before trip and during trip. If you plan to do a lot of cooking, you need to bring some of your own cookware bc this was lacking - plenty of dishes and silverware- but not enough pans or large enough frying pans or casserole dishes to cook for many people. There was a rice cooker so this made our Cuban family very happy but no measuring cups or mixing bowls. Like others have said, the jome needs a little TLC - But overall we were very happy with our stay in this home.

All was good except for the neighbor

Property was as described. Could use some attention cosmetically but you can see efforts have been made to update property. It was unfortunate we could not open the curtains facing the neighbors yard because it was such an eye sore. The neighbor constantly yelled at her dogs swearing at them and threatening to break their necks. On one o’clock I witnessed her throw the dog away from her because it was crying in distress because it was all tangled up. She kept referring to someone the house as a crack head. When we were in the front yard she was encouraging one of the dogs to leave the yard and not come back. She asked us if we wanted it because she was done with him. Very sad. I wish I could have taken him home. On the plus side the house was as described and fit our needs. Some rooms were smaller than we thought and we couldn’t put our suitcases in the room because there wasn’t any room. Unfortunately not all rooms had closets. The house was clean and when we had an issue with a faucet someone came over immediately to fix it. He was very nice. The landlord was responsive to our texts and very pleasant on the phone. I would rent a different property from him if we need to in the future. It is unfortunate about the neighbor but that’s not his fault. Besides the neighbor everything was fine.

Perfect for our big family

We loved this home while we enjoyed time with family. It was big enough for our whole family and significant others. There was plenty of space for the kids to run around and every main room was large enough for everyone to be in at once. The kids enjoyed chasing the lizards in the yard:)

Good Find!

This is an older home, but it was still very nice. There was 10 of us and we loved the spread-out space. Three full baths made it easy for us to get ready for the day. We loved the little store /restaurant just a few blocks away.... we walked and the food was amazing. Nice area to sit outside screened in and another area not. If I had to make suggestions it would be for more cookware in the kitchen... such as pizza pan, we purchased a pizza cutter and left there. Maybe a pitched to make teas or drinks, blender. Dish towels..... but nothing we just couldn't do without...... We would/ will rent again!

Safe neighborhood

The house was alright. Large and fit everyone. The Arabi food store a block away was amazing for breakfast and lunch! The host was extremely accommodating and communicative. 2 of the beds in the lower part of the house were a little uncomfortable. Better for kids then adults. The other rooms were spacious and nice hot showers. The outdoor fenced in seating area was nice for morning coffee. There’s a cute grocery store close by and a Walmart.

Great property and area

I had an amazing stay had no problems!! I reached out to Larry for a question he answered me back!! Was giving the code for the property before going !! I had a great stay with no problem!! Will be staying again if I come back to New Orleans!! The area was right down the road from Bourbon and well as a casino two blocks from the house!!
