Like many areas of New Orleans, the neighborhood is undergoing some renovations just like this house did. Some homes have been completely restored and others are awaiting their salvation! While some spots in the area may look a little rough, we've never experienced any safety issues here and our neighbors are wonderful people!

Tall windows pull in soft daylight, long hallways stretch room to room, and the backyard waits just beyond the kitchen door for evenings you won't want to end. Sleeping arrangements
Two bedrooms sit end to end in the home's classic shotgun layout - you'll pass through one to reach the next, part of the architectural tradition this style of New Orleans house is known for. Each room is made up with soft linens, plush bedding and comfortable mattresses, so the nights are as easy as the days.

Kitchen & dining
The kitchen is fully equipped for real cooking, not just reheating - a fridge, freezer, cooker, microwave and dishwasher cover the basics, while cooking basics, crockery and cutlery, a baking sheet and blender mean you can put together anything from a quick breakfast to a full dinner. A coffee maker and coffee are ready for the morning, wine glasses for the evening, and a dining table gives you somewhere to sit down and actually enjoy it.

Bathroom
The bathroom includes a bath, with shampoo, conditioner, body soap, shower gel, cleaning products and a hairdryer all provided, plus hot water on demand after a long day out.

Outdoor living
The backyard is fully fenced and set up for lingering - a firepit, outdoor furniture and a patio give you space to gather after dark, cook, or just sit outside with a drink. The yard is pet-friendly, so your own animal is welcome to stretch out here with you.

Convenience & amenities
Air conditioning, a ceiling fan and heating keep the home comfortable whatever the season, and a washing machine and tumble dryer mean you can pack lighter. Room-darkening blinds, extra pillows and blankets, an iron and hangers round out the bedroom essentials, while a TV, sound system and ethernet connection cover downtime indoors. Smoke and carbon monoxide alarms, a fire extinguisher and a first aid kit are on hand for peace of mind. Check yourself in with the smart lock, step through your own private entrance, and park for free on the street right outside - the home is single-level throughout, with no stairs to manage.

You're in the heart of Mid-City, an easy walk to Trader Joe's, neighborhood cafés and the streetcar line - from there, City Park, the French Quarter and the Superdome are all within reach, making this a solid base for festival trips, Saints games or a holiday visit.
