Mountain Home at Wintergreen Resort...in the heart of Virginia's wine country.

Ski up the mountain in the late fall, winter and early spring . Enjoy golf, visiting wineries and breweries in the valley . The Tranquility Retreat is located at the base of the mountain in Stoney Creek, the sister community to the Wintergreen Resort. This house offers accommodations for multiple families on a wooded acre of property. This beautifully furnished home has five bedrooms with 4 and a half baths. Three owner suites offer king sized beds with private baths. A fourth upstairs bedroom has a queen sized bed and shares a bath with a fifth bedroom with a pair of twin bunk-beds. All of the rooms have flat screen cable TV, wireless/wired internet service. There is a land line phone in the home. In addition to the many indoor spaces, there are plenty of outdoor spaces. You will love the large screened deck on the back of the house, the spacious patio and the hot tub.

The area has many outdoor activities including hiking and biking trails, Lake Monocan, fishing, swimming pool, tennis and horseback riding. Additionally, it is home to many restaurants, wineries, breweries and distilleries on the Nelson 151 Trail. Only a 30 minute drive to Charlottesville (UVA/Monticello), Staunton, the Blue Ridge Parkway, or the Appalachian Trail. Perfect for UVA football weekends, family weddings, girls' and guys' weekends.

Nellysford Spring

Lovely home in Stoney Creek near golf course. Great walking and hiking nearby. Marla is great- easy to communicate with and the home is spacious and comfortable for a family of mixed ages. Loved having 2 masters on the main floor. The outdoor porch is wonderful. The hot tub was an added bonus. We look forward to staying again this fall.

Comfortable and perfect in every way

This us our 2nd time staying for a fall weekend away to do a tour of the breweries/cideries/wineries. Perfectly relaxing, clean, well stocked, spacious, comfortable furniture and bedding. Love having the hot tub to end a long perfect day. Nice paths to walk the neighborhood. Had Tee time, but got cancelled from overnight rain. Next time want to bring tennis rackets, didn't realize we had access to amenities. This will be on top of our list for next year too! The 3rd night was well worth having! Thanks Marla!

Absolutely Beautiful

What a fantastic weekend! We rented this property for a family wine-trasting weekend and it could not have been more wonderful. The house is beautifully decorated, very comfortable, and incredibly well stocked. The location was perfect for visiting all the breweries and wineries. We were 5 couples and had plenty of space. We loved hanging out on the screened in porch. I can't say enough - we will be back!

Very nice and roomy for a lot of people

We really enjoyed our stay here... there were 6 adults and lots of cooking and TV enjoyment. Water heater didn't quite keep up for showers, so we just staggered them... The owners were prompt on any inquiries and we would highly recommend this place to anyone. The SPACIOUS back porch was WONDERFUL (and deer that came to visit a few times made it even better!). The kitchen was incredibly well stocked... no need to bring anything... and having plenty of towels and TP in bathrooms.. nice! Truly a great place to stay. Will keep this in my SAVED places!!

Blended Perfection

Perfect location to enjoy local breweries, distilleries and restaurants but also close enough to enjoy the ski resort . Warm , very clean and comfortable house with all amenities that supported a large group but also allowed for individual privacy . Beautiful home perfect for multiple couples

This was our favorite home we have stayed at in the area so far. It was a great size with multiple master suites. It is perfect for multiple families. We liked that it was not located up on the mountain so it was easier to access. The hot tub and screened in porch were wonderful. We even enjoyed playing games and just spending time together in the large gathering area. We will be looking to book here again for our stays and highly recommend it. Loved the 3 king suites, great for our group of adults. Very spacious rooms and common areas. Newer appliances, super well stocked with everything! Pretty mountain view from front porch. Private wooded lot nestled in upscale golf community. Walking trail. 5 mins drive to Paul's Creek hike. Marla was very responsive to maintenance issue. Would definitely recommend and stay again.
