B&B in National Forest

'Lea Hurst is a fantastic place to stay , Quiet and secluded. The house is beautifully restored and the room was superb good views over the countryside,, Jen was a superb host and made us feel welcome in her home. Excellent breakfast and the canal path only 5 minutes walk through the garden. Good location for visiting all of the Peak District. Would highly recommend and can’t wait to return '

'Had a lovely nights stay - very comfortable bed, lovely size room with everything we could want. Tea, coffee, hot chocolate, fresh fruits and lots of biscuit in the room which was extremely clean. Had a great welcoming from the owners on arrival with freshly baked flap jacks and lots of local knowledge shared. A book regarding the building was also an interesting read. 'Our host was very welcoming. Showed us our room, which was perfect for our needs. Room 1 was chosen for us as it opened onto a garden /woodland area which our two terriers loved. We had a lovely one night stay, had a drink at Whitemoor pub, dinner was 'eating in' at the Aspey Fishbar opposite Tudor Lodge. Lodge was clean, warm, nicely furnished and a good size. Host was welcoming and friendly. Haven't had breakfast yet, but dont doubt itll be hot, tssty and plentiful. '

'I booked the Wyken Inn as was dropping my daughter to Warwick Uni & didn’t fancy the long drive home the same day so going on the basic look of outside, just expected a ‘rough & ready’ room but I was so so impressed. Don’t be put off by the look of the outside, I had a standard double room & shower room which was double glazed, had heating I could control & the room, bed & shower room could not have been cleaner even if I’d cleaned it myself. 'Hotel is gevestigd in een 400 jaar oud goed onderhouden gebouw, op een rustige locatie op slechts enkele kilometers van Nottingham . De kamers zijn ruim, schoon en voorzien van TV, koffie en theezetapparatuur. De eigenaar en zijn familie zijn zeer gastvrij en behulpzaam. Er wordt een prima ontbijt geserveerd, en de pub is erg gezellig, en je voelt je snel thuis in dit hotel. Verder is er nog een ruime parkeerplaats achter het hotel'
