Great spacious room, excellent locaties. Amenities are fantastic. Varied choice of food. Can highly recommend the vegan restaurant for lunch on the beach. Helpful friendly staff. All very safe.

My stay at Haven Riviera Cancun was very disappointing and did not meet my expectations. The most concerning aspect of my experience was the attitude of many of the staff. While the restaurant servers and housekeeping staff were consistently kind, professional, and helpful, I found the customer service and activities staff to be rude, dismissive, and unwelcoming. One incident, in particular, was unacceptable. Because of the strong foul odor around the resort, I covered my nose. An activities staff member Hector responded by telling me that if I didn’t like the smell, I should “go back to America.” I found this comment to be disrespectful, inappropriate, and offensive. I have traveled to Mexico four times and have always had positive experiences, so this interaction was especially shocking. Unfortunately, this was not an isolated incident. Throughout my stay, I experienced multiple examples of poor customer service and unprofessional behavior from staffs member Angel andNo guest should feel disrespected while on vacation. In addition, the resort itself was underwhelming. There were very few activities available, and most entertainment and venues closed early, making the resort feel quiet and boring in the evenings. The limited variety of dining options, combined with the persistent unpleasant odor around the property, further detracted from the overall experience. My wife and I stayed at El Dorado Royale for 7 days in July and had a fantastic vacation. The resort was only about 30% full, so there were no food lines and restaurant reservations were easy to get. The overall vibe was relaxed, with mostly couples in their 30s to 50s. Our More Inclusive™ package included seamless airport transfers, Maroma Beach access, and extra activities. We highly recommend a swim-up room—it was one of the highlights of our trip. The pools were beautiful, with swim-up bars, live music, games, and even a foam party. The only downside was that pool chairs filled up early with towels, but Maroma Beach always had plenty of loungers. The food was outstanding, and 24-hour room service was perfect before early excursions. The grounds were beautifully maintained. The beach at the resort was unusable due to seaweed, but Maroma Beach more than made up for it with excellent snorkeling, sea turtles, stingrays, and plenty of lounge chairs. Our favorite excursion was Río Secreto, followed by Cobá. We also treated ourselves to a beachfront couples massage at the spa. It was expensive, but listening to the ocean while getting a massage made it worth every penny. Our only real complaint was that the bed wasn't very comfortable, although the massage certainly helped afterward! Skip the Vacation Club presentation unless you're interested. This is an excellent adults-only resort for couples looking to relax, enjoy amazing food, and unwind. We'd definitely return.
