Recent storms have also caused several problems that have created extensive detours. So for right now coming in from Murphy, NC is the safest bet. A road less traveled in the mountains of North Carolina/Tennessee to a beautiful hide away surrounded by Tipton Creek. This basement rental sets in a unique setting between the Cherokee and Nantahala National Forest. This quiet hideaway offers many opportunities from NC and TN, or perhaps the opportunity to unwind by 2400 feet of creek just outside your door. This destination would be for a quiet weekend or a few days away from the real world! There is now internet and wifi calling available at the rental. Be sure to get your groceries ahead a time... 45 minutes back to Tellico Plains, TN or Murphy, NC. If you come from Murphy it's a 40 minute trip up Forest Service Road 420 and its winding and gravel, (NOT SUITED FOR LOW CLEARANCE CARS) From Tellico Plains, TN it's the River Road , Forest Service Rd. #210 to past the state line into NC. Inside our community gate it’s gravel with many water breaks, (NO LOW CLEARANCE CARS) Fun and adventurous either way! Detailed maps available from owner is MUST!!Two night minimum. Five person limit. No pets. DO NOT DEPEND ON GPS once you are on DAVIS CREEK ROAD on the Murphy side or the River Road out of Tellico Plains. Owner will email you detailed instructions on the directions and instructions to open the community gate!!!!! Do not come throughthe TN side until further notice.
