'Located between Craignure and Fionnphort on the Isle of Mull. Situated by the road looking onto the sea. The Inn is a popular place to eat as the restaurant was busy. The owner showed us our room which was large, clean, tidy and warm. The super king sized bed was comfortable, shower was powerful with plenty of hot water. The "gorgeous bar area" was dilapidated and out of use, there were limited food options available in the eating area, the carpeting in the hallway and rooms were very worn and not very clean. 'We made a last minute reservation and all went fine. The room was spotless clean and there was a very good shower. The bar is very authentic and both the dinner and breakfast were very good. We had a nice view on the lake.'

'Ardfern is a very pretty village and a great springboard to explore Argyll. The decor is dark but there are tables outside and a great view of the loch from the picnic benches out back. The bar area has a great feel and a regular stream of sailors from the local marina'
