Blokhutten in Morganton

'The property was exactly as it is advertised. Very clean and easy check in. I didn’t notice it didn’t have a shower until after I booked it but that is on me and not anything to do with the property itself. Very good value for the money if you are okay without a shower and a twin bed works for your needs.'

'Everything was clean and ready for us. Was a cold week but still nice and warm with the gas logs. Kitchen was supplied with utensils and cooking equipment. Enjoyed our stay. We will be back. '

'A cozy cabin in a beautiful area. It was clean, comfortable, and suited our family well. I was glad to be able to use the kitchen that was nicely stocked with the basics, including stainless steel pots and utensils (we try to avoid plastic and Teflon), so that was a pleasant surprise! The kids enjoyed the adjacent campground's arcade room (about a five minute drive or 20 minute walk) from the cabin. Overall, a pleasant stay!'

'Great area and reasonable price. Would come back here again.'

'The property is located in Springmaid Mountain. Cell service is very spotty, and you cannot be guaranteed a signal. This made it difficult to access Vrbo for check-in instructions. There was an email with access to a website where you could click on a Check-in button where you would think would give you a code. But since we were not given the key code in advance there were a few minutes of confusion and stress as the property office was closed. Once we were able to get a phone signal we...

'A perfect getaway! Excellent response from host!!'

'Perfect location for our visit in Spruce Pine!'

'We were unable to enjoy any of the amenities other than watch the horses graze, the river run and hear a turkey gobble because we were there for a funeral and most of our time was away from the property. We still enjoyed our stay. Thank you!'

'The cabin was excellent in every way. The property is private and has a beautiful view of the mountains. We enjoyed the sunsets and watched the clouds and weather move in from the newly expanded covered back deck. The cover provided shade and allowed to us to sit outside and watch the rain move through. We used the grill several times during our stay. The grilling/picnic area was convenient for us as we like to stay in some days and enjoy a meal while we take in the view. Inside, the cabin had...

'Cozy and what was needed.'

'Very nice relaxing place. I enjoyed being away from everything just to relax. Host are exceptional. Will be back.'

'Nice place. Nice location. Clean and spacious. Met our needs quite well.'

'We enjoyed our stay. However, because of mobility concerns, we will probably not be back. The cabin was very clean but….the stairs and showers were a concern for us as we are in our 70s. The road up to the cabin was longer than expected and had so many hairpin turns! But the cabin and view were lovely! Even our pups enjoyed the deck!'

'The property was perfect for a quick group trip. Clean, easy checkin.'

'Hidden Gem is amazing. We stayed for 4 days to enjoy the Grandfather Mountain Highland Games. The house was perfect for a mix of adults and young children. Super clear and easy booking, communication, check-in and check-out. We already have ideas on coming back. Highly recommend.'

'This place was amazing! Very grateful that I found it. I ordinally booked for the unique building but the experiences are what made it so special. I will definitely go back again. The Zen Dome is a really fun design, built to be a special experience with details like crystals attached to the outside. It has all the comforts that I expected from a glamping experience, but it had a full camping (connecting to nature) experience that you do not normally get in glamping. Rather then being...

'This cabin is in a perfect location, with stunning a long views and an outdoor hot tub. The pros include wide open floor plan, great shower, plenty of linens and easy to use entertainment. The cons are the whole place feels a little bit shabby, with all the woodwork caulked but not finished, lots of stinkbugs inside, and poorly equipped, mis-matched kitchen gear. Foot plate on the stove had fallen off. There was firewood for the fire but no working lighter. Just little stuff. I would...
