'We had a wonderful stay at Hôtel Fenua Mata’i’oa and only wish we could have stayed longer! The hotel is absolutely beautiful and felt like a peaceful tropical retreat. One of our favorite features was the private balcony area, which was the perfect place to relax and take in the surroundings. 'The deluxe bungalow was so nice inside with all the modern conveniences but had a thatched roof giving you an authentic Polynesian experience. The bed and linens were very comfortable and the bathroom had 2 beautiful sinks and walk in shower. The kitchenette was an added plus! The pool was wonderful and ocean view and beach were beautiful. The on site Sunset Grill was convenient but we only had 1 dinner there since there are plenty of local restaurants nearby. We would definitely stay here again...

'The room was clean, but had many many bugs. Which I did not mind much due to the location on the hotel being more in the forest. The area where the kitchenette is and for outdoor relaxing is covered in dog poop. I found this to be unsanitary.'

'Lovely, helpful staff see you to this ocean side bungalow with kitchen facilities, comfortable bed and great deck where you can sit and enjoy the sight of the reef. Snorkelling right from your private beach yields coral and tropical fish from the shore. A couple of downsides: there are no staples like sugar, coffee, salt, etc in the kitchen; there is no comfortable chair so you either sit on the bed or you are upright at the table; the reception is only there for assistance for an hour or so...

'Great property close to some of the best food on the island. One note- make sure you bring extra change for the city tax. Otherwise, an awesome stay for a nice pool and community grill that we used to make our dinner.'
