« Wow doesn’t even cover it. The owner greeted us when we arrived. She was absolutely lovely and helpful. The place is stunningly beautiful. We will only stay there when we visit Athens to watch our beloved Georgia Dawgs!!! Close to everything and you totally get the college town vibes. The Athenian is worth every penny. Can’t wait to go back!!! Go dawgs! »

« First of all, the building is just beautiful! There is a comfortable lounge with drinks and snacks, and another room with a large table, snacks and drinks. The room is just beautifully decorated, comfortable and so well appointed with a refrigerator, bathrobes and slippers, huge shower, sound machine and coffee pot. The entrance is coded and easy to access yet safe. On top of that, it is close to everything in Athens! »

« If you are planning to stay during a game day weekend, keep in mind that this property backs up to a large fraternity house and is next door to a busy tailgate lot (and the noise could be an issue). If that bothers you, this may not be the property for you. It did not bother me. Everything else about our stay was A+++. »

"I liked the proximity to restaurants and shopping areas. Well located. I found my room clean. The housekeeper passed everyday to ask what needs to be replaced in the room. It's a pretty calm neighborhood. The breakfast is basic. The internet connection has trouble sometimes. Overall, it's a good ratio quality/price. One false note is that I needed help with my TV one day and it was not easy to get help. I called the front desk and I was told someone will come within minutes. No one came. My subsequent calls were not even picked up. I have to go to the front desk and insist. After that, the problem was solved right away. "
