The complex is within walking distance of local favorites including Kenny D's, Pompano Joe's, and Captain Dave’s, and is also close to miles of scenic biking and walking trails along Scenic Highway 98.

Please note there is no elevator at this property. The use of golf carts is strictly prohibited within this complex. Any golf carts found on the premises will be towed at the guest’s expense. Children enjoy the interactive water fountains and the pirate-themed outdoor playground featuring a 1,750-square-foot soft play area complete with sea creatures, slides, and a treasure chest. Destin Commons also offers a mini-train for kids and features more than 75 shops and restaurants.

If you are staying near Miramar Beach, snorkelers in your group will enjoy the artificial reef known as Dolphin Reef, deployed in 2017. Located approximately 685 feet straight out from Miramar Regional Public Beach Access near Pompano Joe's, this thriving reef has become a haven for sea life. Each of the four snorkeling reef sites spans 40 acres of permitted sea bottom at depths ranging from 12 to 20 feet. We strongly recommend using a kayak, paddleboard, or other flotation device when visiting the reef, as sea conditions can change quickly. Enjoy.
