Edith's Bungalow in Beautiful Seascape! - Great Vacation Value and location!

Our Two bedroom condo is located along the 15th green in Seascape Resorts, and is right next to one of the wonderful tennis courts as well. Our condo features a large living room with a tranquil views. There is a king size bed in the master bedroom with an attached bathroom. The second bedroom has two twin beds plus there is a sofa sleeper in the living room. Our kitchen is well equipped with all you will need for feeding your hungry group after a day in the sun. New granite counter tops and updated appliances in this galley style kitchen..


What to do besides enjoy our wonderful beach...: Should you wish to explore what the local area has to offer, you'll find an abundance of choices. Sidewalks line scenic 98 for walking, running or bike riding. We are a short drive to the Silver Sands mall to the West, or luxury shopping at Destin Commons to the East. Kenny D's, The Crab Trap, and Pompano Joe's are all within walking distance to Cayenne Cottage. We encourage you to leave menus of your favorite restaurants when you come. For evening entertainment, Destin is known for some wonderfully upscale eateries, as well as your regular fare. Friendly night life and nearby state of the art movie theater. The Silver Sands Outlet Mall is a vacation in it’s own right for shoppers you will have access to over 100 stores, including, Polo, Ralph Lauren, Banana Republic, Brooks Brothers, Eddie Bauer, Liz Claiborne, Tommy Hilfiger, Lenox, Nike and Reebok - just to name a few. When you need to pause for nourishment choose from Panera Bread, Cheeseburger in Paradise or Carrabba's

More Shopping!: More great shopping can be found at the Destin Commons outdoor mall. Enjoy such great stores as Abercrombie & Fitch, Ann Taylor Loft, Banana Republic, Belk, Books-A-Million & Maui Nix Surf Shop to rattle off a few. We just wanted to go to the beach and location was perfect. Just a short walk.It's not for tall people, if you are around than 6'7 or taller you may hit the ceiling. Other than that it was excellent stay, we didn't need to reach the owner at all

Good stay at this property

We had a good time at this property and it mostly met our expectations . It was what we needed. Even though I would have liked something closer to the beach, we enjoyed the walk. The sick had to be unclogged and the dishwater repaired. The neighborhood was quite and relaxing, the pool is very close to the property and it was great swimming in it after the beach. Miramar beach vacation

The condo was very nice, clean and was a good size for a family of 4 to 6. The property manager was very helpful, nice and professional with helping us locate the condo when we called her. Check in was simple as well as check out. Location is good and close to the beach. The only issue we had was with hoa security at seaside, as they write tickets for parking passes and other things. We left the top off our bronco and the parking pass blew off the dashboard and we got a ticket. The lady at the HOA was pretty rude when we went to talk to them about the ticket and told me to either pay it or jump through a bunch of hoops to TRY to appeal it. We paid it anyway but that aspect of our trip kinda stunk. Just beware of making sure the pass is completely filled out and completely visible at all times. The security goes around extremely early or extremely late to try and write tickets. With the actual owner, she was an absolute pleasure and we loved our interactions with her! This will be our ideal stay each time we come back to the Destin area.

Great little stay-cation

We were in need of a place to stay to fill the gap between our lease ending and the keys to our new home to be available for move in. This condo, did the trick. Pet friendly was a must. Very peaceful and private end unit location. Easy walk to all amenities. Plenty of parking. Will stay again.

The VRBO photos are deceiving. This condo is in need of much more updating. The furniture needs to be replaced. Couch was stained badly & smelled, Mattress in master was noisy whenever you moved, patio table was rusted all over and peeling to where you could cut yourself easily so we didn't use. Front and back entrances you had to walk thru wet grass or mud. The kitchen was somewhat stocked with everything needed but poor mismatched quality. The decor was extremely dark and outdated. HVAC unit was very loud. You couldn't turn on master bath light without the LOUD exhaust fan coming on. The upstairs neighbor noise was extreme which was very disruptive especially when they woke at 5am every morning. Will not rent this condo again.

Good size and great location

We had a couple of issues but the owner took care of them quickly. The 2 things I feel the owner could fix: The master has plenty of drawers but the 2nd bedroom does not. It needs some kind of dresser. A few of the closest are locked and the ones that are not locked are very full of items for the guest to use but no room for travel items.

Would stay again!!

Edith's Bungalow was wonderful! This was our second time staying in the Seascape resort, and it probably won't be the last. Although we didn't need to contact the host during our stay, she was very friendly and helpful before and right at check in time. The reason we chose this unit is that we were able to bring our dog. The unit is as described and was very clean. Will definitely stay again!

Great place for the money, she just needed a new housekeeper it was dirty upon arrival and couldn’t use pots pans because they had mouse droppings in them. Over all great place just needs a few things cleaned up bed fixed and toilet that is coming off the wall when you sit on it off it.

Comfortable bungalow

We were very comfortable in Edith's Bungalow. It was a short walk to the beach or you could drive and never leave the grounds. It was also a nice walk to the Golden Ponds where our dogs enjoyed their daily walk. The swimming pools and tennis courts were only a stones throw away. The grounds are well kept and beautiful The entire area was so peaceful and calm we would definitely like to return.

Exactly As Described

This rental was exactly what we expected from the pictures and descriptions except maybe more spacious. This was a comfortable stay for my family for 10 days. The pool, tennis and basketball court were very close. Bike rental within the neighborhood is convenient. Our family rented a golf cart, though I don’t know that it was really necessary. The neighborhood is convenient to restaurants and shopping. We appreciated the beach cart that was in the condo. I would recommend this stay!

The cottage was beautiful and clean inside. Very comfortable with a swing on the patio that I loved in the morning with my cup of coffee.

Very quiet family condo

My overall experience was good. The place was very clean just be prepared to bring everything you need for the kitchen and bathrooms. You will need trash bags, laundry det, paper towels, toilet paper and everything for the kitchen. They do supply enough to get you started but that's it. It's right on the golf course and right across from the basketball court. There was a couple pools to choose from that were nice and the big one was heated. It's a little difficult navigating all the way to the back but once you figure it out you will be good. Also there is a back entrance that's way easier to get in and out and puts you out on FL98. Most of the restaurants and stores are on 98. If you like real authentic Italian you must try Clemenzas. It's literally in the same complex as the condo near the back entrance.
