'This has to be one of the best places we have stayed. Wonderful staff. Where else do they come out to greet you in the parking when you arrive?! A delightful room with views over the lake, an amazing picnic lunch left in our room with fresh bread, a pre-dinner drink and canapé and a superb dinner. All this in a spectacularly beautiful location. Thank you.'

'We really loved the stay in Highlander Cottages. There are more cottages at this site, but it felt like we were staying alone in the forest. Although wooden constructions the quality was high, a kitchen block, small living room, dining table, comfortable beds fireplace and modern bath room. We would definitely return. '

'We read the reviews and were intrigued. We stayed in winter, and it is cold in Bothwell. It would have been much more inviting if the hosts had the heater running prior to our arrival, but once the property warmed up after a few minutes the shock of how cold it was faded away. We stayed in the 1837 cottage. The accommodation is rustic, eclectically furnished and decorated, and gives an appreciation of life in times gone by. If you are after elegant, refined and well finished accommodation...
