The Granada neighborhood is an area within Mexico City that extends into the Ampliación Granada and Anáhuac neighborhoods, but is informally known as "Nuevo Polanco."



This neighborhood has experienced significant real estate and urban development driven by the transformation of large industrial lots north of the upscale Polanco area, spurred by the construction of shopping centers such as Antara Fashion Hall, Parques Polanco, and Plaza Carso.



This neighborhood has undergone a major gentrification process, transforming a deteriorated urban space into a rehabilitated one with taller buildings than before, which led to increased rents and housing costs in these areas.



Before gentrification, with its avant-garde architecture, the area had a distinctly industrial character with numerous factories, as well as working-class residential areas in the Ampliación Granada and Anáhuac neighborhoods.



Getting Around:

To get around Polanco from Lago Neuchatel, you can walk, take a taxi or private transportation service, or use public transportation that drops you off near the Polanco metro station, such as bus lines 12B or 12D, to reach Avenida Horacio.



Public Transportation Options

Buses: Take a bus like 12B or 12D heading towards Buenavista or Lomas de Sotelo and get off near the Polanco area. Lines 12B and 12D pass through that area.

Metro: Once you are near the Polanco metro station, you can walk or take a private transportation service to reach your final destination within the same neighborhood, as the stations are not always in the exact location you are looking for. Private Transportation Options
