'Its a shame this hotel is branded Staybridge. I have seen a lot of Staybridge hotels, and this one is an absoluut dump. Compleet rundown place, would not be a problem if it looks like 1980, but apparently that was the last time it was cleaned. Filty bath, filthy kitchen, no water pressure, AC will kill you. Stayed 2 nights. Because of location, second day no room service. Should have handed them the keys and left first night, but the perfect location to TX tech kept me. '

'The room was clean, a nice size, and had enough outlets. The only thing to be aware of is that unlike what seems to be the norm at other places now, the shower didn't have shampoo, conditioner, and shower gel dispensers. This is as of 5/2026, so it could change. It did have a tiny bottle each or shampoo and conditioner, but when I say tiny, I mean REALLY tiny. As in one use. 'Worst hotel experience of my life. On my first night, I found hair in the shower and it looked like someone had used the toilet and it was never cleaned. The bathroom was clearly not cleaned before my arrival, so I wasn’t even able to shower that night like I normally would. The next morning, housekeeping finally cleaned the bathroom. Before leaving for the funeral I was in town for, I asked the staff to change my sheets while I was gone. I returned around 6 PM and it still hadn’t been done....

'We booked the last room on Expedia and paid in full as we were in Lubbock for the George Strait concert and the city and up to 1 hr travel was sold out! When we arrived at the Travel Lodge we were told they gave our room to someone else but they had another room that they don’t usually rent out that we could stay in. We had no other choice but to accept because we were 5 hours from home and we could not find another room in Lubbock! It was horrible!! Broken window, mold in the tub/shower,...

'This property is a gem for sure. The suite was a good size with separate living, bathroom and bedroom areas. Very nice stay and comfortable bed! There is no on site staff, they text you the room code. That was nice too.'

'Nice, spacious room with good amenities. Check in is by texted code as the hotel consists of a few rooms on the 3rd floor of Pioneer Condos, so there were no interactions with staff and no daily housekeeping, which was absolutely not a problem for our short stay. Location in downtown is very quiet, but there is a restaurant in the building, a brewery in the building, and an excellent coffee shop (Nashwell) across the street. Parking was easy as was getting around Lubbock. '
