'Pluses: great location, by the Methow River and across the river from Big Valley Ranch, a favorite birding spot. Quiet, off the beaten path. Comfortable living room and kitchen. Minuses: the directions to get there were very sparse and inadequate. Once you've found it once it was very clear, but need better directions for first time. There were no labels or instructions on any of the light switches or the hot and cold faucets or the heat and the gas furnace. Quite a learning curve. Supplies:...

'This is a well equipped, beautiful home located right on the methow community ski trail. We skied right from the house. There were 6 adults and it was very comfortable for us to have a grand time together!'

'We had a really great experience. Well stocked cabin, the ACs were charged and actually cooled the place to a perfect temp. The lawn was mowed and sprinkled every night. Some of the dining chairs were pretty rickety, and we had to clean the grill a lot but that is nothing. 'The Elk Lodge is two-story, very clean and comfortable, with great appliances in the kitchen for cooking, well lit (which is often not the case with rentals). The living room is spacious and opens off of the kitchen. Two nice bedrooms and bathrooms. The location is perfect, near the Mazama store and trailheads in the quieter part of the valley well back from the highway. We will return to Elk Lodge next year for Spring Hiking.'
