'Family vacation-We spent a week here (ages 5-79/3 generations). The 10 of us had plenty of room to spread out. The home and grounds were clean and well maintained.The beach is small, but more than adequate for the little ones. The lake is great. We rented a pontoon boat from a local company (Up North Pontoon Rentals) since the owners boat was out of service.The kitchen is equipped for a large crowd. 'Great location for an Elk Lake/Torch Lake vacation! Rustic cabin was as listed - cabin was clean and well-kept for an older cabin. The location on the lake is great and the provided mooring buoy was perfect for a pontoon. The shore entry is a rock wall, which could be a bit challenging for smaller children or people with mobility challenges. This cabin gives you great proximity to Elk Rapids and Torch Lake. Check-in/Check-out was easy and instructions from host were clear. '

'What a terrific property! The spacious house easily accommodated ten adults (we brought a blow-up mattress to have enough beds in the lower level). Nestled in the woods with a large yard and a big fire-pit, the home had that up-north feel. Elk Lake was about a half-mile walk. We loved the location--an easy drive to Elk Rapids (loved Veteran's Memorial Beach), Torch Lake, Traverse City, and all the wineries and beaches on Old Mission Peninsula.
