'The property was very nice and clean. I was a little misled with location information. We were looking for something close to mammoth cave and the listing stated 16 minute drive, we couldn’t find that route and it was more like 45 minutes. Maybe if we took the green river ferry but it was only open from 8-6.'

'Upon arrival we noticed an odor. I had assummed the property was non smoking but soon found a pack of cigarettes above the microwave. Kelly left us a note stating the dishwasher was broken..not a big deal as we would only be eating in a few times. Housekeeping was lacking a bit. Dishes and utensils in the cabinets had food on them. The dining room table had a sticky residue in a couple spots.The dryer lint trap was so packed the dryer would not dry. We had very little cell service in the area...

'This house is in a very peaceful area. House was clean and comfortable. Loved the sunroom. Due to high water levels it was difficult to use the dock. Lost power, but it was restored quickly. Kitchen is nice and well-stocked. Pans are in rough shape. You definitely need to bring food to cook as there is no place close to eat out or get groceries. We enjoyed Nolin Lake State Park and Mammoth Cave State Park. Overall a nice stay.'

'The Redbird Hideaway is a beautiful place to unwind with family. We drank out coffee each morning on the covered porch listening to birds. It was cozy without being crowded and close enough to mammoth cave and lake nolin for us to get some hiking and fishing in during our stay. Highly recommend.'

'This place is better than described. It’s cozy and has anything you need for a getaway besides shower supplies. Close to the Mammoth Cave National Park: take the ferry route, is just 20 minutes. We had the chance to see the fireflies just from the deck. It’s lake access, and also this place has copious water gears, including kayaks. Corlynn and Joe are wonderful people, very helpful.'

'Everything was absolutely wonderful! Great space to sit back, relax, and enjoy. We had 3 generations under one roof and really enjoyed our time together in this amazing space. Thanks SO MUCH!'

'Terrific, clean spot with spectacular view of Nolin Lake from the porch. While a little long (40min) , the drive to the mammoth caves is beautiful, and the serenity of being on the lake is unmatched. Responsive and helpful hosts.'

'Loved the covered deck especially since it mostly rained while we were there. Nice grill and grill utensils. The power went out the first evening so we were thankful for the candles. We were traveling with our 3 adult children, so we loved having 2 beds in the third bedroom— this is not easy to find elsewhere.'

'The house was very reasonably priced so we did not go with high expectations. The location is great with spectacular views of Barren Lake. Everything is very simple with comfy beds and clean bathrooms. The rental was clean and comfortable. It could use updating but for the price it is more than reasonable and I can completely understand the owners not wanting to invest. Altogether we had a great time. Thank you'

'An amazing location, peaceful, picturesque, close to Mammoth Caves. Plenty of space for our group. Although we felt we were living with the previous tenants. Clothes left behind the door in the bunk room, clothes left in the dryer. Crumbs and water marks in frig. Table still had crumbs. We loved the house and grounds.'

'We stayed here so we could ride Blue Holler off-road and it was great. Nice spacious house with a huge gravel parking area with double driveways for the trucks and trailers. The house had everything we needed so luckily only had to bring very little extra for the stay. We will be staying again in the future'

'Cute little house with great things for kids inside. We didn’t stay long and we were there for Mammoth Cave and loved staying at the house. It is in the middle of nowhere so eating out is very limited and grocery stores are far from the location. The host was great about informing us about all of this beforehand so we could prepare and was great about giving us ideas of things to do in the area. We were fortunate that the Green River ferry was up and running so getting to Mammoth Cave was not...

'Very clean and comfortable! We had a great time playing ping pong 🏓 the back porch was wonderful. We saw a fox and some deer and the cows would talk every day to us. Great relaxing location.'

'The Blue Cat was a great destination for the 6 of us as we visited Mammoth Cave. Lots of room, all amenities as advertised, and loved the screened porch with views of the lake and so many birds to listen to and watch.'
