'Everything was fine, clean, etc., except that there were a LOT of carpenter ants in the room. I talked with the property manager, while I was there. I hope they do something about that. Otherwise, our stay was nice.'

'Great location and not too far from Saranac Lake village. Room was clean, well furnished with required amenities provided for our stay. Front desk, housekeeping and restaurant staff were very friendly, helpful and professional with the guests. In-house restaurant menu for breakfast and dinner was good and the Chef was able to prepare dishes to suit our dietary requirements. However, more vegetarian options will be preferred. 'The room was cozy and well equipped for our needs. There was excellent signage that provided important details. Mary greeted us and we appreciated meeting her. There is a really nice brewery close by along the river. We are there twice. And one morning I was able to ski out the door along the rail trail. '

'This hotel with a history offers great surroundings near Saranac lake, spacious, modern and clean family rooms, and friendly staff for a reasonable price. During our 3 week trip in July through north east of USA and Canada we planned to stay here for 2 nights but decided to stay an extra night. We were very lucky with the weather ( 75 -82 F) but heard the winter period lasts long and is tough.'
