Kastelen in Mainz

'A hotel of excellence.. from the chilled water, juice and treats waiting g for you in the lobby, to the quick, polite and efficient checking staff. Our stay was off to a perfect start. We arrived early and were given a room with no fuss. The lobby is large and has great sitting areas with inside and outside bar service. The room was spacious and well appointed. The drinking water supplied was a treat. The bed was so comfortable, and linen crisp and spotless. Our towels so soft. Being a step...

Ontbijt was goed'

'Ruime kamer (lekkende wastafelkraan, geen zeep in douche); goedkoop parkeren dichtbij; redelijk/goed ontbijt'

'Dichtbij het centrum '

'The hotel is close to the busy Mainz train station and the neighborhood can be somewhat gritty. As a single woman traveling alone I felt somewhat uncomfortable that when I checked in on Sunday I needed to use the lockbox and enter into an empty reception area. We were also in another heatwave and the rooms are not air-conditioned. These are the only 2 negatives. The room was lovely and recently updated.

'Let me start by saying the staff was amazing and incredibly accommodating! We had a stop over in Germany for a few days on our way home from Ireland. When we opened the windows to let in fresh air, we realized we were on a street train route and it was so loud. We ended up spending the least amount of time in the room as possible. I understand that air conditioning is rare in Europe,...

Zeer schoon, helemaal nieuw opgeleverd.

'Kamer was schoon. '
