We took advantage of all the things to do in the area, Shenandoah National Park, Shenandoah River State Park and Luray Caverns. We even took walks along the stream. We loved it!'

The kitchen area was the perfect size, stocked with a choice of coffees, teas and snacks. It’s perfectly located to go to the many wineries, restaurants and shopping in the area, It is an easy drive into Charlottesville. Our hostess was great, texting to check if we needed anything. 'We absolutely loved the charm of Anne's Retreat and how welcome we felt. The amenities were great and the kitchen was extremely well stocked with cooking equipment. We especially enjoyed the porch and rocking chairs (and cats)! We primarily chose it for proximity to the park but as there was so much to experience in the area, we would gladly stay there again. '
