This family-owned apartment is situated in the heart of the Island’s capital Funchal, and within the fashionable Savoy hotel tourist district. A very spacious 3-bedroom apartment, it has been recently refurbished with both style and comfort in mind and caters for those who are looking for that special holiday combined with the privacy and freedom of a 'home abroad'. The apartment will comfortably sleep up to 6 people, with 2 bathrooms (1 en-suite), a large kitchen/diner, a reception hall and lounge, and balconies, the largest of which has a partial sea view. This light and airy 3rd floor apartment boasts 5 balconies which are all served by the sun at different times of the day throughout the year, ensuring that there is always a comfortable and cooling retreat from the year-round sunshine should it be needed. Full parquet flooring throughout and ventilated window shutters combine to maintain a comfortable temperature inside the apartment, even on the hottest days.

Madeira Portugal Visit
We had a very nice visit to Madeira. This Condo was a very nice place. The kitchen was in needing work (cabinets hinges were bad and the dryer door needs fixed). But that did not stop us from having a wonderful time. Sarah was alway there to answer all my questions and she helped with getting us a taxi to and from the Airport. A fantastic apartment that is beautifully presented, well-appointed and ideally located between Funchal centre and the Lido area. Apartment was very nice in great central location walking distance to old town and lots of restaurants. The main shower did not work and we had to all use the ensuite to shower which was inconvenient and was only provided with one towel each for 9 days and the dryer was not operational so we could not do laundry. Also there is a camera in the front hallway monitoring the door of the apartment which made us a little uncomfortable but other that the apartment was nice and we enjoyed our stay

A short walk to most things, or a quick bus ride to the rest.
We are a self catering couple who like to cook at home, go out for good coffee and hike in nature. Fuchal gave us a great base for all of this. Lovely condo, the kitchen is functional with everything you need to cook at home, and when they renovate later this year that will be the final touch on this lovely condo.

Great Stay
Very nice property in the centre of Funchal, exactly as described. Sarah was such a great host always on hand to answer any questions we had and arranged airport transfers for us with the lovely Joao. The location is fantastic in between the Old and the New parts of Funchal, 5 minutes walk down to the Marina Promenade, 5 minutes up to Santa Catarina Park, a few minutes to the nearest bus stop, with an excellent supermarket at the top of the street, lots of bars and restaurants too numerous to mention on your doorstep. The apartment is spotless, comfy beds, lots of outside balcony spaces, we lost each other some mornings whilst having coffee, the only negative was the kitchen it could do with a refresh but we were on holiday so didn't use it much. All in all a fantastic stay we intend visiting Funchal again and we would definitely rebook Sarah's wonderful apartment, if she would have us that is.

Nice Apartment, Great Area
The apartment is in a great area of Funchal, easy walk to the downtown, there are plenty of good restaurants in the immediate area and a friendly convenience store at the top of the road. We enjoyed our walks to Downtown, the Lido and Madeira Forum but there are buses available nearby. We did have one or two maintenance hiccups whilst we were there but the Owner was easy to contact, made steps to rectify the issues and very receptive of any suggestions that we made. The apartment is obviously well-loved and the Owner is making improvements all the time. It has a good feel to it and we enjoyed our time there. I’m intending to return next year.

Großzügiges Apartment, Engagierte Betreuung
Wir haben uns sehr wohlgefühlt und erholt in dem luxuriös und liebevoll individuell ausgestatteten Apartment mit mehreren Schlafzimmern, Sitzecken und Balkonen. Sarah, die Gastgeberin, hat sich aus der Ferne sehr bemüht uns Hilfe und Rat zu geben. Reichliche Ausstattung, auch in der Küche, die aber eines Facelifts bedarf. Die Lage ist zentral, mit Resten traditioneller Bebauung und ansonsten großer Hotelkomplexe. Viel Verkehr umher, der aber teilweise nur gedämpft ins Apartment dringt. Nahebei auf kurzem Weg zum nahen Altstadt-Zentrum geht man durch einen schöner Park am Meer. Bushaltestellen nahebei. Parken mit Auto möglich, aber sehr belegt. Gern wieder, wenn wir nochmal in Funchal sind. Danke Sarah.

Great apartment close to the city centre
The apartment was just perfect for us. It is situated in a lively but not too loud part of the city and has everything you need close by (supermarket, bakery). It was very clean and our host was always very helpful, when we had a question. The lack of a private parking lot was not an issue, since there are enough public ones nearby, some even without costs. The apartment was equipped with everything we needed, especially the (rather old) kitchen. We really enjoyed our stay and can recommend Madeira and this apartment.

The wifi is non existant and was charged extra for using all the facilities of the apartment ie rooms and balconies.I was not told i had no acesss to other bedrooms and for this i was billed.Just like the other review where someone had guests over and was billed for it.So if booking for 2 just be aware you cannot have use or you will be charged.And make sure you have plenty of data for your phone as the apartment is full of dead spots.
