This is a truly excellent property! It is well appointed, with fully renovated bathrooms, and a beautiful and spacious chef’s kitchen. The terraces are convenient to the kitchen, beautifully decorated with flowers and herbs, and provide gorgeous views of Lucca and the nearby mountains. The level of service from the host was completely above expectations. This property receives our highest recommendation.

Beautiful well appointed flat in the middle of Lucca! Steps away from all of th sites and sounds of the city! Kitchen, terrace, bedrooms /bathrooms were all pristine! Only complaint was contractors on scaffolding right outside the terrace and kitchen windows…..and the elevator was out of service for a 5th floor flat. A pre-arrival notification would have been appreciated as we would have attempted to find an alternate location without the walk up.

GREAT apartment for our family trip to Lucca. Fantastic location, tremendous outdoor space with multiple verandas, what a view of Lucca! Kitchen was well appointed and each family group had their own spacious bathroom. Hope to return.

Spectacular stay!

We traveled throughout Italy for three weeks and Bella Vista was the highlight of our stay. The host, Caterina, was extra responsive and able to accommodate all of our requests prior to check in. She arranged salon visits, a private meal prepared by two lovely ladies, and contacts for various planned activities. Upon check in we met with the local host Manuela…what a peach! So was on top of everything and readily available during our entire stay. The location was ideal! Walking distance to everything. The people of Lucca were so friendly and welcoming and made us feel at “home”. The apartment was beautifully appointed, furnished, spacious, and filled with everything you may need to relax and enjoy your stay. And yes, the AC works great! The most challenging part was making our way to the top with our 50 lb luggage, so pack light! Without luggage, I appreciated the climb every day. Great way to get my heart pumping. We traveled with six adults and we never felt on top of each other. Plenty of space to spread out. The outside space was another magical spot to enjoy the views. Stop looking…you will not be disappointed!

Perfecto!!

The penthouse apartment was amazing!!! Inside a perfect blend of creative contemporary and tradition design. Outside stunning!! I can’t think of a better way to experience Al fresco Tuscan life from the birds waking us in the morning to musicians playing music in the afternoon!! Upon arrival, we were warmly welcomed by Manuela who helped us get settled!! It made all the difference! So, five stars!! Thank you Caterina and Manuela !! Hope to return soon!!

Lovely flat in the heart of Lucca

A beautifully appointed flat centrally located within the walls of Lucca. My family and I enjoyed our time here and felt very well taken care of by property manager Caterina. Host has a helpful & detailed book filled with local recommendations. Would stay here again.

Beautiful apartment exceeded our expectations. The kitchen was well appointed with good knives and pans. The rooftop deck was our favorite place to dine with wonderful flowers all around. All of the appliances worked well and were easy to use….including the wonderful Aga range!

Perfect in every way

We traveled to Lucca with our adult children and their partners so there were 6 of us. It was great to have so much room for everyone and especially a seperate bathroom for each couple. The kitchen is well stocked and the outdoor spaces are perfect! We will definitely be back!

Exceeded all expectations

I can’t say enough about this villa, absolutely gorgeous, huge, spotless, great location, included everything we could possibly need. The large main terrace was a dream that we spent many hours enjoying. Caterina and Manuela were wonderful to work with and helped with many planning aspects in advance and during our stay. We stay in VRBA’s all over and this was the very best in all aspects! We would absolutely return. Thanks again for a wonderful experience!

Lucca love

Decided to stay one week in Lucca with 7 total people, 5 different ‘households’. The bedroom configuration was perfect for us. The two terraces were so nice to sit on and enjoy the outside. The apt was so clean and well appointed. Cate, Manuela and Chloe took great care of us. They left a bottle of red, a bottle of white, 2 different pasta sauces plus pasta along with some fruit for starters. So perfect to have pasta with sauce on the terrace within 20 minutes if arriving! Location is perfect. Not too far of a walk to the train, wall, cafe. The cafe to the left right outside our door was the best. Laundry machine on-site a great convenience. The high-end refrigerator had frozen ice packs which were so nice to have when we arrived bc it was so hot and they hit the spot when placed on the back of the neck. The ice machine worked great too. We’ve stayed in many rental apartments and this was hands-down the best! Thank you Cate, Manuela & Chloe!!

A Gem in Lucca!

The property in Lucca was beyond amazing. The rooms were beautifully furnished. The beds were very comfy. The apartment was well stocked with everything you might need. Manuela was terrific. She helped us through the entire process and answered any questions we may have had. We highly recommend this place and would definitely stay here again.

Wonderful apartment overlooking Lucca

This lovely apartment made a perfect locale for our family reunion of 8, with three generations. Everything was well appointed and very clean and comfortable, even better than the pictures. The kitchen was well stocked with all the wares needed for a large group. The terrace overlooking the city is just perfect for evening aperitivos and dinners. (We highly recommend the lovely dinner prepared by Simonetta at the apartment, and served on the terrazo!) While the steps up to the apartment were a bit of a trek as we arrived with suitcases, they never bothered us later on. Lucca is a gem and the apartment is ideally located for exploring the town, its shopping and restaurants. Cate was responsive and very helpful throughout. Overall, we highly recommend this apartment.

Wonderful view from the terrace. Enjoyed our first night dinner cooked by Simonetta. Great location. I would recommend a map of the area for new arrivals, and more details on how to work the garbage dump card.

Fabulous apartment

I booked this apartment for a special family holiday, five nights in April 2019. It was fabulous, it's an elegant and well equipped apartment with a massive living/dining room, a large kitchen, four bedrooms and three bathrooms. There are two terraces with wonderful views, the larger terrace with a table to seat eight comfortably and leading straight from the kitchen. The apartment is in a residential area of Lucca, away from the main shopping streets but only a five minute walk from wonderful, high quality shops and restaurants. We bought pastries and cakes every morning, we had a mix of meals on the terrace (lucky with the weather) and meals in local restaurants. We had days out in Florence and Viareggio, both by train as the apartment is less than a ten minute walk from the station. We also hired bikes to ride around the walls of Lucca. And we visited Pisa on the way back to the airport. Our party comprised two people in their 60s, two in their 40s, two in their 20s and two teenagers. It worked well for everyone, we all loved our time in Lucca and would like to return. One comment is that the tap in the kitchen needs some attention as the water flow is very slow, unlike the bathrooms where it is perfect. The showers are excellent, everything else seemed 100% brilliant. Highly recommended.

Wonderful place to stay in perfect Lucca!

Caterina's apartment is beautifully decorated and maintained with everything a family could need for a perfect stay. It was easy to communicate with her, and Manuela on location in Lucca was helpful and charming. We researched our holiday carefully and found the house manual very useful and well put together-so we enjoyed doing lots of different things in and around Lucca as well as shopping, eating and drinking in Lucca!

Easy access to the train; perfect location for best shopping, eating and coffee; incredibly comfortable beds; one of the best roof top views I’ve ever experienced in my life, exquisite interior, to die for kitchen; spotless; fabulous shower; responsive communication with caretaker from beginning to end.
