'This small B and B (5 rooms) is very beautiful and the decor is artistic and elegant. So much attention to detail. My bed was so comfortable, and the shower great. I enjoyed sitting the garden when I arrived for a glass of wine and snack. It's about a five minute walk to Santa Maria gate to Centro. Maria, the owner, and Nadia, her assistant, were welcoming and attentive. '

'We had a fabulous stay. Rebecka was a great host and helpful before and during our stay. The location of this property is a perfect base for exploring the city. It is beautifully decorated, spotlessly clean and bright and airy even though it is such an old building. The bed was comfy, the shower was great and the toiletries smelled amazing. We wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again when we return to Lucca. Everything was perfect '

'This hotel is actually not a hotel but a few rooms attached to the villa volpi hotel, a 10 minute steep walk up the hill. All meals and staff are found at villa volpi, there are no real facilities to speak of at suite accommodation. It's not as discribed in the information at all. In fact, we chose to upgrade for €70/night to stay at villa volpi. I would recommend villa volpi but not suite accommodation '

'Op zich een aardige kamer, maar het bed was slecht. De badkamer was schoon, maar de douche is veel te klein. Locatie is ok op loopafstand van het oude centrum. Aan de voorkant een redelijk drukke weg dus kamer aan achterkant is belangrijk. Ruime parkeerplaats, maar een smalle doorgang er naar toe. Op de bovenverdieping wonen mensen die behoorlijk luidruchtig waren tot laat op de avond. Kwaliteit is ook niet in overeenstemming met wat er gevraagd wordt. Ontbijt is elders in een patisserie. 'Leggendo le recensioni pensavo ad un posto bellissimo con pulizia impeccabile ma purtroppo mi sono dovuta ricredere. La casa è davvero caruccia ma peccato che il cortile è abbandonato a se stesso come anche il giardinetto. La pulizia della stanza e del bagno non sono affatto impeccabili...tanta polvere in stanza, vetri sporchi, bagno con mattonelle sporche e purtroppo anche gli igienici non proprio puliti. Struttura bella ma bisogna dare molta più attenzione alla pulizia e a tanti altri...

It is very close to the gate to the walled city center, literally only minutes away. The accommodations were exactly as described. Checkin/out was very easy and convenient. Our trip to Tuscany included stays in four separate locations and Villa Buonamici was by far our favorite. Do yourself a favor and stay at this Villa, you won’t be disappointed.'
