Basic accommodation is fine, but when the window is boarded up so no natural light, toilet doesn’t flush without messing with pipes and a bucket, a/c lets a load of hot air in, a bad leak inside the room, and worst of all owner lied in property description about having Wi-Fi meaning an expensive 3 hour round trip to get a SIM card and enough data to keep connected to my family and do online work. 'Het hotel zelf is prachtig aangelegd en de kamers zijn super. Enkele punten die ons absoluut niet zo goed bevallen zijn… ten eerste het water is niet gezuiverd zodat alles bruin/ geel is. Dat betekent dat je het water uit de kraan gewoon niet kan gebruiken. Het zwembad is hier ook mee gevuld waardoor je zwemkleding ook gelig wordt. Het ontbijt is voor deze ‘klasse’ hotel zeer onder de maat, gewoon slecht. Een lepeltje bij je koffie ontbrak s’morgens. Dus elke morgen vragen en dan was het wachten...

'Bien Ubicado con playa privada. La piscina es buena , las camas son buenas, el aire acondicionado es bueno. Que la habitación no contaba con nevera indispensable para tener bebidas frias, el servicio de bar es muy básico, no tenía servicio de cócteles de bebidas, no tenía servicio de toallas de piscina, la caja fuerte no funcionaba.'

'Really beautiful secluded spot on the beach with a lovely staff, not to mention cute beach puppies! The beach was the best for swimming we encountered on our road trip, and the bird watching tower looking into the nature reserve was really cool. The bungalow with an outdoor shower was lovely. We were here for only one night, but wish we had been able to stay longer, and hope to be back soon! Quick note about google maps is that it doesn't think you can drive all the way there, but the road does...

The not so good: We were informed by taxi drivers that the area is not safe at night and that you should always try to avoid walking on the street after hours. 'This is no review of Ayenda Jimatta. Having booked and got confirmation from hotels.com, on arrival there was no booking registered, hotel was full so no room available. According to them, they are not on the hotels.com platform. Probably a nice place, but very frustrating to experience the above after a long travel. So - hotels.com - improve your service or lose customers!'
