High Street Kensington Rooftop Apartment

Our spacious (52 sq metres) top-floor quiet one bedroom flat is situated in a prestigious portered block in the heart of Kensington, ideally situated to explore all the delights London has to offer. All mod-cons provided including Molton Brown toiletries, Nespresso Coffee machine and pods, Egyptian cotton bedsheets and duvets, goose-down pillows, 42" flat screen TV and DVD player, real wood flooring throughout and marble-tiled bathroom.

The best things about this property are:

1. Location - Right on Kensington High Street, 2 minutes away from High Street Kensington tube, 2 minutes from Holland Park, 5 minutes from Kensington Gardens and Hyde Park. This makes it a perfect location for events at the Royal Albert Hall, Natural History, Science, Design and V&A museums and easy to get links into Soho and London's West End Theatres. Wonderful nightlife including Michelin restaurants, funky bars and clubs.

2. Safe and Sound - It's very well spaced large one bedroom top floor flat (approx. 52 square metres), at the back of a prestigious portered building making it great for security and a sound nights sleep as there's no one upstairs and high enough not to hear the street sounds below.

3.. Comfortably sleeps 4 adults - as well as a large kingsize bed in the bedroom, the living room has two large sofas, one being a large double sofa bed (10 metres away from the bedroom, thus maintaining privacy).

4. Complimentary bicycles for all the family to enjoy both the parks and getting around.

5. Football, Cricket, Tennis balls', goals, wickets, bats racquets, frisbees, kites and picnic basket and rug to enjoy in the parks - both Holland Park and Kensington Gardens/Hyde Park are around the corner.

What's not so good is that there is no lift, therefore not great for the elderly or disabled - but there is a private roof terrace to take in the rays on a summer's day.

Fantastic house

the house has a wonderful location, has everything you need to spend a holiday in the heart of London., nothing maca. The owner is a very sweet person, fantastic and very helpful, we arrived late compared to the scheduled time and also made us find breakfast for the next day excellent everything. I'm very satisfied.

Good Location

The location was very convenient to the tube and to Kensington sights. Everything with the apartment was fine except the WIFI. We had issues the entire stay (never worked). The owner definitely tried to help, stated a couple of times that it was functioning correctly, even sent instructions on how to connect. However it never worked for any of our devices (network never even showed up in the list of available networks). I am not sure if there was something incompatible with our devices (from the U.S.), but we never had issues with any other wireless networks during our stay in the UK. Overall, it was fine - not bad but not great either.

All required amenities and great location

Moses was very accommodating and helpful. He made sure we had everything we needed and was always available for questions. The flat was clean and spacious. It was also very close to the Tube station and there is lots of good shopping near by! There are many stairs to climb but we enjoyed being in the penthouse because it was quiet considering you are near a busy London street. We have family in London so we will look to stay at Moses's place again.

Fantastic

We had a wonderful stay in the great appartement. We were travelling with 2 adults and 2 teenagers and enjoyed the spacious rooms. The host (Moses) did a fantastic job and is an excellent communicator, we had a warm welcome and good tips for where to go in the local surrounding. The apartment is located perfectly and it is very easy to get with one bus connection to the city centre. I would surely recommend this place and book it again for our next trip to London.

Very friendly host

Moses was great and very responsible. The renter before me was very destructive and the host had to clean up. Unfortunately, the cleaning solution was very strong-smelling and unpleasant. The location was great and everything worked well.

Great Location!

Close to several grocery stores. A 5 minute walk to the underground and about a 30 minute walk to the museums. Close to Hyde Park. A bus stop just outside the building. Nice area. Quiet. Moses was very accommodating with our check-time and was very friendly and helpful. The fridge had drinks and a chocolate bar for us when we arrived. Adequate supplies in the kitchen. Lots of stairs to the apartment, however, Moses helped to carry our bags. Overall, we enjoyed our stay!

Great location and well presented

Great location from tube station and easy to find. The owner of the apartment Moses was waiting to greet us and help us settle in and answer any questions. There was a welcome pack of groceries waiting for us and nothing was too much trouble. The apartment is very clean and has everything you need to have a great stay. Moses check in with us the next day to ensure everything was ok in the apartment. We had a fabulous time and when we return to London we will be checking availability for this apartment.

Great Apartment in a great location.

We really enjoyed our stay at this apartment. The location is great, very central with easy access to the tube station. Moses was very helpful. He meet us on arrival and showed us through the apartment. He also arranged some extra bedding for us so my son could use the second sofa as a bed. Would definitely stay here again if in London.

Nice apartment in a great neiborhood

We enjoyed our stay at this nice apartment on High Street. Small and cozy...perfect for a couple to enjoy a stay in London. It was close to the Underground and many stores and restaurants in the area. Moses was very friendly and helpful. Make sure you are in shape for the 81 stairs though.....

Hier möchte ich wohnen bleiben!

Die Wohnung hat eine exklusive Lage direkt an der Kensington High Street, da sie nach hinten raus liegt ist sie aber ganz ruhig und man hat einen schönen Blick auf Stadthäuser. Ubahn ist nahe, und der Bus hält direkt vor dem Haus. Das Haus hat zwar keinen Lift, aber die Treppen gehen sich angenehm, und Moses der Besitzer hilft mit dem Gepäck. Er kümmert sich auch perfekt um seine Gäste, fragt mehrmals nach ob alles passt und er hatte ein tolles Sortiment an Essen und Trinken zur freien Verfügung bereitgestellt. Es gibt schöne Restaurants diverser Nationalität in 5 Minuten zu Fuss erreichbar. Wir haben den Aufenthalt sehr genossen und kommen sicher wieder!

Great time in London

We had a great stay in London and the placement and amenities of the apartment sure helped. It's located just a few minutes walk from the underground station and there is a bus stop right outside the door. Also all along Kensington high Street you will find shops and grocery stores, Mark's & Spencer the best, so you can always pick up what you need either coming or going. The apartment is on the back of the building so you don't hear as much noise as the front, but you are in the middle of a big city so there is noise. The apartment was clean and all set up for our arrival and Moses kept in touch with us during our stay, making sure we didn't need anything and that all was to our liking. I would definitely recommend this apartment to a couple or family of 4.

Wonderful Location, great apartment

We had a fantastic stay in this fab Kensington apartment. It is perfectly situated in a great area, with so many great shops and restaurants literally on your doorstep and the tube station just a few minutes walk away, from where you can easily access all the London sights in a short journey. An easy walk to the beautiful Kensington Palace and gardens. The roof terrace is a real bonus, if you're brave enough! Would highly recommend!
