'My favourite place by far on our costa rica trip! Cabin had everything you could possibly need, we even made our own dinner one night. Owners are amazing, friendly people with so much knowledge of the area and all the animals and plants. Propertly is absolutely beautiful, with trails and a very nice garden (their super friendly dog even came with us on our walk around the property, which we loved!) Lots of birds right outside your own little balcony. And the best part.. there is a sloth! Right...

'Amazing family-run hotel. Eric & Cécile do a great job at making their guests feel welcome and at home. Only two rooms on the finca, located a short walk away from Eric & Cécile's own house. Next to the house is a small pool and a seating area where breakfast is served. That breakfast is a real treat, freshly baked bread, home made jam, tea/coffee or hot chocolate, eggs made to order ... . You can really ask for nothing more in a hotel. The finca itself is beautifull with lots of trees, flowers...

'This place is a hidden gem! The rustic cabins are well maintained and clean. A short walk from the cabin and you arrive at the restaurant where the food is amazing and reasonably priced. The hosts were so nice and helpful, making suggestions for our hikes and other options for dinner (although we ate on site 4 times it was so good). Our kids miss Lucky and Domino and wanted to take the puppies home :-) I would definitely recommend!'

'This community of small Villas was perfect for our stay. The grounds were beautiful and the staff were very helpful and kind. The location was very convenient, being next to a supermarket and a 10 minute walk from the local beach. The rooms are not luxury, but nice for this price and they have everything you need. We had a problem with our AC unit on the first night, but the staff was quick to offer us a new room while it was being repaired. The breakfast was traditional Costa Rican...

'Beautiful, serene property. Very nice host and hostess. Loved the waterfall hike. It was the highlight of our trip. We were there by ourselves and could swim. If you’re into exploring and not a resort travel style this place is fabulous. We came here from JW in Guanacaste and loved this more than the resort. Clean and comfy. Breakfast was delicious and tastefully served. Be mindful of the hike though. Not super easy. Hiking shoes , poles and certainly water shoes, towel, and water are a must. '

'A very beautiful and secluded resort just off of the Ocotal Beach area. A short drive from Playa Coco that includes beautiful black sand beaches. The villa was spacious and had lovely views of the ocean. If you have a car, it is an ideal stop as you can access other restaurants nearby, like father rooster, and others in coco. The restaurant at the hotel was also very tasty, and the staff was very friendly.'
