Herbergen in Lecce

'A very impressive hotel in the old town of Lecce. Very helpful staff. We had a lovely room on two floors, which meant a trip downstairs during the night to use the loo. Maybe something to bear in mind. Also the air conditioning could not really cope with the size of the room, but maybe blame the recurrent heatwaves for that. We had a ‘cave’ like pool as well; sadly the jacuzzi side of it did not work. We were only there one night so did not feel it worth bringing up with the staff.'

'The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. The breakfast was great, a charcuterie spread and pastries. Will fresh squeeze orange juice on request and will make eggs upon request. Coffee was excellent '

'The B&B is located a short walk outside the old town in a very quiet residential area. The building is well maintained and is about 9-10 suites in total. Our room/bathroom was a good size and very clean. The air conditioner in the room worked well which was wonderful given the June heat. The morning breakfast is served on the 3rd floor that has a lovely terrace. Breakfast is your typical Italian buffet, with a good variety of options. The staff are friendly and attentive. 'Positives: The room was very clean when we got there. The host was very kind to us and also very helpful. The room is very well located, just a few minutes away from the central area. Negatives : The AC was not strong enough for our liking. The host provided us with a fan which helped a lot. There was only 1 key to the room and we were 2 people. It was sometimes a little bit of a challenge to synchronize everything.'
