'beautiful place to stay! we got an upgrade to a room with sea view since there were little people in the hotel at that time. This room was supernice. The staff was also very nice and very helpful. The complimentary breakfast was very good - good coffee, eggs, pancakes, juices,... The pool (and definitely the two little pools) was a bit dirty at times but that did not keep us from enjoying the very beautiful outdoor space! We did not have dinner in the restaurant since that was a bit expensive to...

'Every bedroom, gathering space, and lounging area throughout the house (inside and out) is comfortably appointed and thoughtfully designed. The staff of the house are warm, inviting, and exceptionally professional. We loved the location along the water - close access for beach walks and shopping, yet plenty of quiet and privacy while still steps away from activity. Forodhani House is a very special place and our group was honored by our experience!'

'The owner of the Hotel pretended not to have any business relations with this site. Even though i have paid the full amount, they charged me more and i had to pay them directly, in order to have my room. Confrontation and a stressful experience, with not much support from the management staff. Hotel is not very clean, but a basic breakfast was served.'

'I reserved and paid back in October. When we arrived on Jan 11 -- we were told that our reservation was cancelled. In fact they were hosting a wedding - and cancelled our reservation without any warning. They proposed a disgusting replacement hotel (one-star backpacker hotel) which was 30€ per night rather than the 90€ per night we paid. We wasted 2 hours of limited time in beautiful Lamu. They refused to reimburse us and refused to send an email confirming that they cancelled a paid reservation...
