1. Both trash bins were full and spilling over upon our arrival. As the garbage collection was still a few days away and this is bear country, we decided to load the disgusting trash into our car to take them to the disposal site, only to find that the one given in the instructions was no longer taking trash, therefore we had to drive farther away to the one at Cabin Creek. To be fair, the property management responded the next day to say they would take care of it and that it was not their usual practice, but it was not an ideal way to spend our vacation time.
2. The kitchen faucet broke off. On this incident, the property management did find a plumber to come out on a Sunday and fix it. Kudos to them.
3. Many amenities were not in working condition: the master bedroom's door handle fell off, the door to the backyard had no lock, a few drawers had no handles, the kid pool table leg was broken (they did put a warning sign though), many of the window/door screens are either broken or missing, so many bugs got into the house. And we couldn't open the windows even when it was very hot at night.
4. The bathrooms are very outdated.
Despite all this, our family still had a good time in Tahoe at this cabin. But considering the nightly rate we paid for this, we would have expected the property management to be more on top of things. On the surface, the house looked great. But once you start looking at the details, there are lots of issues. They need to work on maintaining the property.
