« Although only for one night, we had a lovely and comfortable stay. Pat, the owner, checked in with us before we arrived…, to be sure we were set. Complimentary beverages and snacks were so welcome after a long day on the road. We crashed on the couch and nibbled before we called it a nite.(just right mattress and pillows). « The room was clean and comfortable enough, particularly the bed, and a great shower. The staff were great. But, access up two flights of narrow stairs was not the best for us. In fairness, staff did offer to carry our luggage up. I missed the part that said no lift. Also, it was advertised as ‘self parking included’. There wasn’t. We had to find a park on the street. No complaints, merely observations. »

« I used to stay in it when it was the holiday house which was a purely 50s motel. it’s been bought and refurbished and renamed the brooks. The rooms are still not very big but the beds are comfortable and I don’t spend a lot of time at the hotel when I’m in Hillsdale. there was a coffee maker that made delicious coffee and there is room for my small dog and his crate.
