Blokhutten in Lake Junaluska

'The cabin was cozy . Just never expected how far you have to drive on a dirt road before you get to the cabin '

'So pleased we found this place. It was a perfect weekend getaway for grandparents and kids. The children loved the hikes in the woods and along the creek. We planned a marshmallow roast but the weather didn’t cooperate. That’s okay. Memories were made. Mission accomplished.'

'The house was very clean. Thank you Andrea! Otherwise the house was dumpy. Many things in disrepair. Broken glass globes on fan in Master bdroom. Broken chair outside.Outdoor steps and deck need paint. Broken bed frame in upstairs bedroom. Broken swing glider. No BBQ. Just some kind of hot plate that is rusting. No A/C. For eating utensils there was just one adult fork and the rest were like fondue forks. One steak knife. Refrigerator was missing a shelf. Loose stair banister. Also, a decaying...

'Who doesn't love staying a few nights in a cute, tiny bright orange caboose complete with an amazing view of bison?!?! We all loved watching the herd pass throughout the day and evening grazing, playing, butting heads and resting. Great place to explore and walk around visiting other farm animals. Cheryl, her brother, and the staff were friendly and accommodating to our needs and helped to plan extra activities like horseback riding and ranch hand, which my 13 year old granddaughter loved. ...

'It was great! It was a pretty steep driveway but not bad at all- just for a short distance. Was very clean and the views were amazing!! Would 100% go back!'

'Great place to stay. Would stay there again.'

'Had a great two week stay in a peaceful mountain top setting with stunning views of the Smoky Mountains. The host communicated frequently and effectively. We loved the fire pit, large back porch and enjoyed the hot tub for beautiful sunsets. Many activities available in the area just a short drive away.'

'Thus cabin was way off the beaten path which we enjoyed greatly. No noise from traffic or neighbors, but still close to town. The pictures and descriptions we dead on. It had more than enough space to accommodate my family if 6 in beds, it even had 2 additional fold outs if we needed them. The host was extremely friendly and quick to respond to ALL my messages. My family and i would stay again. '

'The cabin is very nice with a beautiful view and the host, John is excellent with communication. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The cabin is in a very convenient location to everything in Maggie Valley. Just be aware that there are a lot of stairs to climb which may be difficult for older individuals. They do have baby gates by the stairs so young children shouldn't be a problem. Also, the house is way up the mountain so the last roads and the driveway may be a little on the scary side driving...

'Our stay was amazing and we had an amazing time. 3 families stayed together and enjoyed time together. The place was secluded enough to get away but close enough to Cataloochee and lake Junalaska'

'Loved this place! So quiet and peaceful and the buffaloes were amazing!!'

'We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Buffalo creek as a base camp after exploring the Smokies! Being welcomed into a new day listening to birdsong with our coffee and being bid safe travels each day by the bison herd was truly magical. We enjoyed listening to the rain on the Tin roof and appreciating everything that Buffalo creek offered to help us reconnect as a couple.'
