Motels in Lake Eyre-basin

'The Coolibah Hotel is aptly rated at 3 star. Unfortunately when we arrived, there was no pool as advertised which was disappointing. However upon checking in, we were given an upgrade room for no additional expense which was greatly appreciated. The owner was very accommodating and we had a re-union dinner there one night and the buffet meal was great. Given its an older style motel, there were several small maintenance items that required attention but nothing that caused us any great...

'Rooms were clean. Aircon was very noisy, when switched off you could still hear the unit from the room next door. Showers were also below average. Water Temperature was constantly changing. We have had much better motels for less money, but for some reason everything is over priced in longreach.'

'We really rate the Burke & Wills. Its safe and very centrally located. Our go to booking when we travel to Mount Isa. The rooms are good and the beds are comfy.'

'Fantastic staff. Bar and restaurant were great. The burger and steak sandwich were unreal. Booked a two night stay but left after one as the were random people throughout the night drinking amd smoking outisde our room from about 1am onwards. We asked them to move or be quiet but they kept coming back. The smell from the bathroom was fairly average from the sulphur, the hotel we used the following night did not have this issue. Long great for a meal but not for a stay.'

'Didnt get there, because of mother nature, the road was closed, rang to tell them, was told no refund. So wasnt to happy, as it wasnt our fault we couldnt get there.'

'Fijne nieuwe kamers kompleet maar wel niet ruim voor een rondreizend koppel. We hebben de grote koffers dicht moeten laten. Onpersoonlijk door inchecken via een beeldscherm. Alles is echter zeer modern en in uitmuntende staat. Ook prima WiFi. Ziet er echt uit zoals op de foto,'
