Wake up to the Atlantic. This fully renovated three-bedroom villa sits on the frontline directly above Praia do Paraíso, with the restaurants, bars and beach of Carvoeiro town centre a two-minute walk down the hill. The sea is in view from almost everywhere on the property — the living room, the balcony, the poolside, and best of all, the roof terrace.

Arriving

A gated driveway opens onto gardens that wrap around the house, planted with fruit trees and flowering shrubs. There's an outdoor shower by the entrance for rinsing off the sand on the way back from the beach.

Inside

Steps lead up to an open-plan living and dining space, split by a couple of stairs. The living room is arranged around the sea view, with comfortable sofas, cable TV and fast complimentary WiFi. Patio doors open onto a balcony with a dining table and chairs — the natural spot for a long breakfast or a sundowner.

The dining room seats the whole group at a solid oak table, with the fully equipped kitchen just behind it: oven, hob, fridge-freezer, dishwasher and everything else you'd expect for cooking properly rather than eating out every night.

Sleeping

Three bedrooms: two with king-size beds and the third with twin singles, comfortable for six. The master has its own ensuite with a walk-in shower, WC and basin, and a second bathroom a few steps up serves the other two rooms, also with a walk-in shower, WC and basin.

The large games room adds a further double sofa bed and a third bathroom of its own, taking the villa to eight — useful for a larger group, or for teenagers who want their own corner of the house. The laundry lives here too, with both a washing machine and a dryer.

Outside

Through the dining room door, a small seating area looks over the heated pool, with a hot tub set just behind it. Both face the sea. At the far end of the garden there's a second seating area with sun loungers and a BBQ grill for evenings that run long.

Stairs at the rear climb to the roof terrace, and this is where the villa earns its reputation. Loungers, a seating area, and an uninterrupted sweep of the Atlantic — sun all day, and the kind of sunsets people book return trips for.

The location

Directly in front of Praia do Paraíso and two minutes from the centre of Carvoeiro, the villa puts the beach, the restaurants and the nightlife all within walking distance. No car needed unless you want to explore further along the coast.
