'Our room overlooked the river. We had fireflys at night, chamelions in the day and real peace and quiet. There is everythng you could need pools fed by the river, trails through the grounds, kitchens barbeques all in good condition. Easy to get to on a good road and close enough to town. '

'Spent 5 days here, enjoying sweeping views of Arenal volcano and lake. Perfect for the solo traveler or couple, this is an open plan studio with lots of natural light and nearly wraparound windows. The feel is very private (plenty of curtains). Nice, quiet location in el Castillo. Kelly and Alejandra were friendly and gracious hosts. 'The property manager was so communicative, even through the planning process and changing the dates. The property was larger than expected and we had almost anything we could’ve needed. The view is what sold me! We were lucky enough to be able to see the full view of Arenal. The location is perfect too. We were easily able to get to our excursions, local restaurants, and there’s even a great spa/massage across the street.'

'This is a great apartment just a few short blocks from town. Our hosts arranged for taxi service to La Fortuna Waterfalls and EcoThermales spa. The apartment has lots of space and everything you need for a relaxing and fun vacation. We walked to a nice local supermarket and bought and prepared all of our meals at the apartment. However, there are many good restaurants within walking distance. We will stay there again. We highly recommend.'

'Spacious accommodations and friendly host. Host was responsive and very helpful. Beautiful views but in the Lake Arenal area, which is quite secluded. There is one small, delicious restaurant 400 meters away, but not walkable. LaFortuna is approximately an hour drive, must have a car if staying here. It was a very pleasant stay, but not in the location listed.'

'This is such a hidden gem! It was a bit trickier to find with my shuttle bus but Gabriela was outstanding communicating to provide me with directions and reference points ahead. When I walked in, I was in awe. It was the perfect tiny home with luxury of daily necessities. Everything was immaculately clean, with many thoughtful touches to make it as comfortable as possible with strong wifi, tv, air conditioning, kitchen, crockpot, kettle, electric grill, microwave, fridge, laundry line, etc....

'The house had a beautiful jungle view and volcano view. The property also has a nice adventurous hike to a waterfall (where the owners provide mud shoes for convenience ) The long driveway would be a bit difficult without 4 wheel drive.but this was communicated to us well in advance.'

'We had a great stay at los Arcos in downtown La Fortuna. The location was perfect for getting around on foot for meals and shopping as well as the main park/square. We rented scooters for further out adventures (La Fortuna Scooters- Valentina is amazing!!) which were easy to park at the apartment. Communication with host was fast and easy.
