'You couldn’t ask for a better place to stay in Galle than this. One of the best places I’ve stayed in for a long time. I loved all the thoughtful touches of a cold juice when you arrive, flowers on the best and them putting on the ac before we arrived so we could arrive to a cool room. Free tea and coffee all day and the use of a fridge and freezer was amazing. Staff were also wonderful and very helpful. Couldn’t ask for more. '

'Overall, this hotel is very average. There were a few positive and negatives. I’ll start with the positives. After asking for water and toiletries, they were eventually provided. They let me shower after checkout and stored my bag, which was nice! The room is very average, but there was a gap above the door that didn’t shut all the way which let bugs in at night. 'It’s odd that the main concern here is asking travellers to pay for their stay the moment they arrive/walk back in to the property/constantly. Payment on check-put is the norm and it’s strange to continually stay in places like this in Sri Lanka where they’re just obsessed with money. We’re all going to pay you for our stays - that’s normal. Please just let us be here and enjoy and pay on departure - which is standard. '

'Vi valgte Unawatuna frem for Galle for at komme tættere på stranden. Secret garden ligger i anden række fra stranden med meget nem adgang. Stedet er en fantastisk kombination af en gammel kolonial bygning med omkringliggende have, og moderne srilankansk tilgang til gæster. Vi følte os meget velkomne i et stort hyggeligt værelse med de nødvendige faciliteter. Dejlig morgenmad til fleksible tider.'

'This beautiful property is outstanding, you can watch the monkeys playing in the trees whilst having an amazing breakfast or swimming in the pool. Hosts Phil and Wathsala are fantastic and very helpful. The gardens are lovely and well looked after by an incredible friendly team. 'We came as a family of 9 people and found the villa to be unclean and not as described! There were no tv screens in the bedrooms, rooms were smelly and showers did not always work. We had to ask for the water to be pumped through! Air conditioning was sporadic in the bedrooms and the kitchen area was inadequately equipped, old stuff that was broken! The manager did replace the kettle and toaster and took away the dangerous looking microwave. There were not enough outside chairs for all of us or...

"My fiancé and I stayed at this hotel, and had a great seven days stay. The room was spotless and was cleaned twice a day, the pool was a welcome treat to escape the heat, and the large various of food was incredibly tasty. The people working there, Dilan and Sherman, made sure we always had everything we needed, and even went as far to prepare a take away breakfast for the days with an early start. Shamika was always ready to answer any of our questions and give amazing advice regarding different activities that were close by. All in all, we had one of the best stays we've ever had, and would love to be back soon."
