**REMODELED MAY 2023!!**

This large remodeled 2 bedroom, 2 bath townhome is beautifully decorated in Hawaiian style decor. There is a King bed in the downstairs bedroom and Queen in the upstairs loft. There are two full bathrooms; one upstairs, one downstairs. Upstairs: Walk-In Shower. Downstairs: Walk-In Shower.

Located just across the street from Kalepolepo Beach Park, guests enjoy a short walk to the ocean. Also nearby, you will find two grocery stores, as well as many other shops and restaurants. Need coffee? Starbucks is less than a mile away.

Want some fresh island fish? One of our favorites, Eskimo Candy Seafood and Deli, is also located about 1 mile from the property. Here you can take advantage of all that the ocean has to offer, including Ono Fish and Chips, Seared Ahi Wrap and their amazing chowder.

Koa Resort has one of the LARGEST swimming pools in Kihei, which is great considering it is one of the "smallest" properties. Koa Resort has just 5 low-rise buildings, with only 54 units, making this property a relaxing place to enjoy your Maui vacation.

OK spot in Kihei

The place was nice between the 2 bedrooms and bathrooms and the pool was great. Communication with the host was not prompt. Simple items like a cutting board and dish rack were not in the unit. The toilet started leaking towards the end of our stay. Best thing about this place is the pool.

Like being at home

This place was recently remodeled and it looked great. There was so many items available to use. Clean towels, beach gear small soaps and even detergents to wash your clothes. Kelli was very communicative and pleasant. She told us about the recent remolded and if we wanted to change units since the fridge was not ready. We decided to stay put and it was a great decision. The remodel was amazing. We were only without a large fridge for a day or two but didn’t matter. We were out exploring the island. They provided us with a smaller hotel size fridge and that did the job. Highly recommend this place.

Emplacement bien situé

Emplacement bien situé, bien aménagé, fonctionnel mais malpropre. Les portes et poignées des armoires étaient collantes, la vaisselle et les ustensiles mal lavés. Le ménage n'avait pas été fait correctement et il y avait une petite serviette sale qui trainait derrière la télé. Nous n'avons pas osé y toucher. Il y avait des miettes et un sac de chips vide dans les tiroirs. On trouve le prix pour faire le ménage très élevé pour ce qui a été fait et on s'attend à avoir un dédommagement.

Near Everything

We stayed here for a dive vacation. Close to shopping, dive shop, restaurants, beach is across the street. Clean and well stocked. We fixed breakfast, lunch and dinner at condo to save a ton of money over eating out. Plus no worries about portion control or allergies or dietary restrictions.

Security and Cleanliness lacking

Upon arrival we were very let down by the appearance. The sliding door did not lock leaving us uncomfortable with our valuables at the property during the day. The front door was barely secure. The pictures of the outdoor dining area was not as shown in the advertising. The table had not been wiped down. It took multiple paper towels, soap and water to wipe it clean so we felt comfortable eating outdoors. The bedroom dresser downstairs was hardly useable. I had to line the drawers with paper towels as they were dirty inside. The kitchen cabinets were sticky and I scrubbed around the handles to remove the black sticky dirt in order to feel comfortable using them.

My friends and I found this the perfect place for a girls getaway! Super close to the beach and anything else you’d need, there were also a bunch of beach toys!

Check in process & check out was seamless. I do agree with past reviewers that it’s a bit ran down, old furniture & fixtures. Could use some sprucing up. There was an issue with the dryer upon checking in. Spoke with the owners and they stated they would provide a new unit to do laundry in; however never provided any unit information after. Had to hang dry everything. Other than that pretty nice condo for being across the street from the beach which is the perf view for sunsets.

Choose a different condo!

We arrived at 4 pm to check-in, the property was not cleaned and check-in was delayed. The listing states beach chairs (we had one). It was dirty, sand on the floors. The kitchen is really gross. Kitchen cabinets smelled like rotten eggs and kitchen was dirty. Pots and pans are non-usable. The vacuum didn’t work. Broom was broken in half. Towels were worn. Nothing is updated, everything is worn to the touch. Disappointed.

Great Location to Beach and Stores plus Fantastic Pool

Our family of five stayed at the Koa Resort 5J for 10 days and 9 nights. The condo was large enough to accommodate us all. We did run into some problems with connecting to the WiFi in the unit. We could not locate the network that was provided to us. I was able to contact the property manager Kelli Braxton and she was able to provide us with the new network and password. The condo is a rental and is not in tip top shape. Understandable. There are some things that are a bit tired and in need of replacement. The only other issue we had with the unit was the main level queen mattress in the bedroom. It was similar to sleeping in a hammock. The mattress is worn out and a "pillow top" was placed on top of the mattress to conceal the "caved in" appearance. By morning, my husband and I had to actually climb out of the bed! However the location of the condo is close to the beach, grocery store, shops, restaurants and gyms. You can't beat that. The kitchen appliances worked well and there was a coffee maker, microwave, dishwasher and toaster. The added bonus was the in unit washer and dryer. The resort's pool is AMAZING! The pool was always clean and free of debris (leaves, branches, dirt) and there were plenty of lounge chairs and chairs for everyone. The parking lot was big enough that we always had a parking spot after exploring for the day. We certainly would return to Koa Resort unit 5J again; provided there is a new mattress on the main level bed!
