The location is excellent, right across from Kamaole III Beach. The condo was clean and worked well for our family of four. There was some construction above us for a couple of days, but we were rarely there during the day so it didn’t impact our stay much. The kitchen was lightly stocked, but it was easy to pick up anything we needed nearby. Parking was a bit tight, but we were always able to find a spot. The pool and BBQ areas were great, and we really enjoyed meeting and chatting with other guests. Overall, it was great and I would highly recommend to others!

The place was amazing, clean, has everything to make our stay wonderful. We did cook a lot and the kitchen had everything we need. The complex is great has a nice swimming pool. It is very nicely located but a beach a few minutes walk. We did our vacations without a car but a car would be helpful. The host is responsive we didn’t communicate much because everything was clear in the contract. Definitely recommend the place and would love to go there again.

Clean, comfortable, tasteful, well-equipped and located

Pros - Immaculate, updated space, abundant quality kitchenware and appliances, ample supplies and extras, comfortable beds, tastefully decorated, separate and effective air conditioning and ceiling fan in each room, zero insects, easy maintenance, good layout, excellent location - across the street from a great swimming beach, walking distance to another, 5-10 min drive to luxurious Wailea beaches, shops and restaurants or less expensive Kihei ones, along with supermarkets and convenience stores. Complex pool, game area and exercise room are clean and pleasant, grounds are well-maintained. Good value compared to other Kihei options.Cons - Lack of privacy due to windows looking on building walkways in second bedroom, kitchen and foyer causing us to keep shades closed at night. Front door has a clear glass panel that should be frosted. We were given just over two weeks notice of ongoing daytime construction in closed parking lot, which prevented ADA access to elevator, necessitating use of stairs and parking 100 yards away. Entrance to building stairs was blocked by a covered, parked car that never moved for our entire stay - this car should have been relocated during construction for the convenience of residents and guests.The parking lot situation was annoying but not enough to knock off a star from our rating as everyone in our party was quite satisfied overall. Highly recommended!

Great location

We love this area and enjoyed our stay. The condo was updated, and matched the description. We love the condo complex and closeness to the beach. The condo made for a great vacation. Two things to note wasthe blinds in both bedrooms did have a gap in the middle (you could see the neighbouring deck slightly between them from the master). I had also wished there were more blankets as the bedding was very light/thin.

Amazing condo in Kihei!

The vacation rental was clean, very nicely renovated and decorated. There were lots of dishes and kitchen utensils/cookware which was greatly appreciated! Would highly recommend to anyone looking to stay in this area.

Great condo!

This condo is really cute! It’s clean and updated. The location is great, just about a 5 minute walk to the beach. Beds were very comfortable. Kitchen is great! The pool area and gym are quite small for the number of condos at this property. We didn’t spend a lot of time at the pool. The location is great- easy walk to shopping and restaurants in Kihei and easy drive to Wailea.

We love Kamaole Sands and have stayed at multiple condos in the last 30 years. This unit did not disappoint! It was beautiful and had been well maintained and “loved”. The host provided games that my children loved and amenities to be used at the beach. The bathrooms and kitchen have been upgraded recently. We would definitely recommend to others!

Stunning condo on gorgeous Maui!

Absolutely loved our stay at Kamaole sands condo! We were at this property for 3 nights before we checked into another condo in the same property. This condo has everything you need for a stay, including beach towels (although they are on the smaller size), beach chairs, and we loved having snorkeling gear! The beach is right across the street from the condo, but we spent time at other beaches that we found. Highly recommend Ulua beach- tons of sea turtles and a great reef for snorkeling. Overall, loved this condo and unit- it’s exactly as pictured in the photos!

Great unit and complex

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The unit has been nicely updated. We would stay here again for sure. Wifi issues were resolved in a pretty timely manner and communication with property manager was good. Children’s warm pool was broken for the 9 days we were there. No fault of the condo owner. It was rainy and we had to sneak our children into the adult hot tub to warm up! Would still stay at this complex again.

Amazing condo in an amazing city

The condo itself is fantastic. Really appreciate the beach supplies and the game cupboard. The beds are comfy, the shower is nice, the kitchen layout is cool. It is right off the elevator, so you do get a little noise from the comings and going of others. But I would absolutely stay here again without hesitation. It's fantastic being right across the street from a lovely beach, a short stroll from some shopping and dining, and a quick drive away from anything in Kihei. I saw a couple of the other units at Kamaole Sands that family and friends were staying in, and I liked ours the best.

We had a wonderful stay in this unit. It was as described in the add which was great. Very clean and with ample supplies for the full week. Beds and linens were fantastic. This unit is newly updated in comparison to other units and I would love to be able to stay here again one day. I would absolutely recommend this unit.

A month at Kamaole Sands

We had a great month long stay. Upon arrival we noticed some serious concerns with the unit’s cleanliness (bathroom, laundry, kitchen, and floors). We sent an email with photos to the property manager and received an immediate response. They took the matter seriously and helped us come to a solution. We also encountered an issue with the kitchen sink leaking, which they were quick to remedy as well. There were teensy ants in the kitchen but they were easy to manage by keeping all food in the fridge, taking the garbage out daily and wiping counters. We only had them the first day or two then once we cleaned the unit, they didn’t return. The unit is spacious, includes tons of fresh linens and lots of beach supplies. The AC is incredible and the beds were comfortable. The kitchen is well stocked and we were able to make many meals with ease. The complex is awesome. The pool and gym were great amenities and the Wednesday hula dancing was always a good time. The communal bbqs (grills) were a great place to cook your dinner, watch the sunset, and meet your neighbours. Can’t recommend Kamaole Sands enough. Will definitely return.

We loved the place!

Everything was clean and the listing was accurate. Just a quick walk to the beach and plenty of restaurants nearby. It had everything we needed for the beach, like chairs, towels and small coolers. It was well stocked and we had a lovely stay.

Great location in Kihei

We had a 9 night stay here in August 2022. This was our 4th time in Maui and 2nd time staying in Kihei (we stayed in Kaanapali the other 2 times). Pros: - The location is perfect as it’s directly across from the beach and within walking distance to dining and shops. - The unit is brightly decorated and spacious for our family of 5. - The beds were comfortable. - Living area has a huge tv with Netflix - The unit is equipped with beach towels, beach chairs (but no boogie boards) and most things you’ll need in the kitchen if you want to cook any of your meals. - The washer/dryer is also a huge plus. - Pool and bbqs which we used to cook steak and burgers one evening. - The mgmt company was responsive to my emails about the safe which was not usable during our stay and when someone had parked in our assigned parking spot after we returned from a long day. Cons: - We did encounter some tiny ants in the kitchen even though we knew not to leave any food out but I understand this is apparently common (my sister who was in another unit also had some too). - The window beside the front door does not have any frosting or window covering so people walking by at night can see into the unit. There are also 2 roller blinds in each of the bedrooms and when they are rolled down, there is still a 2 inch gap between them which privacy-wise isn’t ideal. We just taped up some paper towels and problem was solved. We would stay at Kamaole Sands again. Kihei is a convenient location.
