'Set in a lovely quiet location but only a short drive away from Porthmadog and other places to visit. The staff were very friendly and efficient and the room, comfortable and perfect for my requirements. A buffet breakfast with a good selection to choose from and dinner in the restaurant came piping hot. Such a delight. I took a short walk within the grounds finding a few hidden gems plus a view of the mountains. '

'Our overall experience was very good. However on three separate occasions we were awoken by other inconsiderate guests despite the signage asking people to be quiet at certain times. This meant we had to get out of bed in the middle of the night to ask people to be quiet. 'This is a lovely place to stay. We were well looked after, my gluten free dietary needs were catered for and the staff were very accommodating. The house is old so we expected that the rooms might be ‘quirky’ but we had a dangerous fault with our shower that could have resulted in serious scalding incident. We have informed the managers so they can deal with it. Dinner was 5* as you’d expect in a place with a chef of this calibre - wine and port also excellent. Pricey, but not excessive....
