The beach is not suitable for swimming due to heavy surf and a strong side current but Talpe beach a 1.5k walk or tuk-tuk away has a safe beach behind a reef. '

'I can't imagine there being a better place in Galle. Peaceful. Quiet. Lovely owner. She was so nice to us, my wife was pregnant and even let us stay a bit longer whilst we waited for our taxi as she wasn't feeling well. What a lovely human being! We were welcomed with drinks and a hotel towel. Breakfast was amazing. Staff are really nice. Highly recommend.'

'Loved this little bit of paradise. The pool and view is the highlight, very quiet and tranquil, a great place to relax and unwind. Great food, fresh and very reasonable. Quiet remote but taxi or tuk tuk is easy to arrange via the reception. Rooms vary, some have better lake views than others, but very clean and well arranged and a good size. Only negative is that there is no mini-bar so no easy to keep you water and drinks called, although you can always get ice from the bar. Suits couples more...

'Leuk verblijf midden in centrum van Galle fort. Personeel is zeer vriendelijk. En hebben voor ons meerdere malen vervoer geregeld. Kamers roken erg muf bij binnenkomst. Kan ook komen doordat het de tropen is. Wat ik jammer vond is dat de witte handdoeken erg verwassen waren. Ze waren totaal niet meer wit. Maar dat is een klein detail. Ik zou deze locatie verder absoluut aanraden. '

As we we’re walking to see our room we went towards the water to find out no beach since we are beach people my wife started to lose it I said let’s see the room first as she is telling Me I am not staying here . "Nous avons séjourné seulement deux nuits pour découvrir la région mais nous avons adoré le lieu et surtout l’atmosphère relaxante et cosy du Jungle Village. C’est une expérience très agréable, les chambres sont vraiment spacieuses et agréable avec une vue sur la canope. L’environnement de l’hôtel nous a ressourcé et relaxé le temps de notre séjour. L’équipe est agréable, chaleureuse et très attentionnée, ils ont tous contribué à faire de notre séjour un moment qu’on n’oubliera pas! Tout à été parfaitement orchestré entre notre arrivée et notre départ dans les moindres détails, nous n’avons pas vraiment dû nous soucier de quoi que ce soit, tout était anticipé. Le restaurant propose une multitude de plats locaux délicieux! "
