« The resort is surrounded by nature, very quiet and peaceful - perfect if thatâs what youâre looking for. It can be a bit inconvenient without a car, but thereâs a bus stop right in front of the hotel that runs at specific times and goes to the nearest train station, Shiojiri. The owner was very kind and even offered to pick me up and drop me off at the station, and he also took me to visit the old town, Narai-juku.

« Worst hotel night ever. The only reason why people should book this hotel is because they have one of the most beautiful onsen in Japan, just on the side of the river.
That night, the Typhoon Jebi had just passed over the hotel and when we arrived, there was not power or water anymore.
I canât blame them for that but we had to spend the night in total dark, without bathroom, with nothing to eat and of course no access to the onsen.
