AC full of mold

My family has stayed at this complex several times before. We’d recommend this complex, but not this unit. After a few nights my pregnant wife and 20 month old daughter became sick, and we noticed when we left, or the AC units were off, everyone’s conditions improved significantly. Looking at the AC units more closely (that we paid extra to use), they were full of black mold, confirmed by the on-island contact. This caused us to check out early and find other accommodations due to health concerns. We made the owner aware of the situation, and requested a partial refund. We got the 30 day cancellation policy sent back to us, and a sorry you got sick.

Great location and well-managed property

This rental is located just a few miles outside of the busy Kona area in a private and well secured resort golf course location. Just two minutes away from great restaurants and a large grocery store, the rental was roomier than expected and even included two outside porch areas (one off the master bedroom). we were very satisfied with everything and we will return to rent this same unit again next year.

Condo was exactly as pictured, beautiful mountain views from back lanai and a peek at the ocean from the front lanai. Had everything we needed, spacious and comfortable. Enjoyed the use of the Tommy Bahama chairs and cooler for beach days. Would absolutely stay again!

It has two lanais, a large one off the living room facing the golf course and a smaller one off the bedroom which has limited ocean view. It is exceptionally well appointed to provide almost everything one would need for an enjoyable Hawaiian vacation.

This was the perfect spot for us! I have absolutely no complaints. We absolutely loved this place and location. Would definitely stay again when we come to the Big island. Very clean, easy check in and check out. Had no issues with any part of our stay. It had everything we needed , bed was comfortable air conditioning was great! Can’t say enough about this rental! Love this complex

Great property in terms of location and amenities. The second floor location of the condo was great for air flow-no AC necessary. The kitchen could use some updating, but it was functional for actual cooking. The rental agent was very responsive to issues.

Kona VRBO review

Overall I'd say this was a very nice condo. The grounds are quiet, beautiful and clean, and check in was a breeze. The condo is was spacious, clean and functional. The only thing I suggest is that it's time for some upgrades. And at the end of the day when we went to the "Adult" pool there were children in the pool both times so we did not go for a 3rd time. They were supervised but we still would have preferred adults only. Other than this we had a wonderful time and enjoyed the property very much.
