This cabin is huge! There was more than enough space for our families to sleep comfortably, get ready with ease, and gather together. The kitchen is fully stocked with everything you need. The location is ideal—just a short, easy drive to June Mountain and town. We loved having sledding right outside the door, and the views are absolutely stunning. There truly isn’t a bad view anywhere in the house!

We arrived after a monster snowstorm that dumped 5 feet of snow in three days. The first 2 1/2 days had no power and it would’ve been nice to have more blankets and flashlights since it’s completely dark. The fireplace is electric so that did not help. The management company was very helpful since this was not in their control and gave us some extra blankets and flashlights. My only recommendation would’ve been to notify us that there was no power ahead of our stay so we could’ve brought more things or delayed our arrival. The power was out two days before we arrived and lasted 2 1/2 days into our stay, but otherwise the place is amazing and awesome and I would go back again in a heartbeat. My one piece of advice would be to consider converting the electric fireplace into a real fireplace that is wood-burning so that when there is no power, there can at least be heat and light, we could’ve had a camp out/sleepover in front of the fireplace However, overall, it was a great experience, a beautiful house with great access to June Mountain, which is one of the best places I’ve ever taken kids skiing. Highly recommend it.

Impressive views of Gull Lake and the surrounding mountains. Easy access to hikes. Easy access to Mono Lake and Mammoth Lakes, Tioga Pass (to Yosemite). Breakfast or Lunch at Silver Lake Cafe was fun. Host was extremely accessible and friendly. Upper level bedrooms were superb. Lower level felt a little like a basement - definitely colder and less luxury, but they served their purpose well. Nice bathroom down there. Well equipped kitchen. The ceiling fans and some of the decor was too dusty for the price per night. We mentioned it to management and I’m sure they will get the cleaning crew in to take care of that! We’ll be back again!!

The view is incredible!
Ten of our adult friends stayed here for a snowboard/birthday trip to June mountain. This house was perfect for us. Everyone had their own space and a bed to sleep in. We especially loved the heated bathroom floors! We can’t wait to rent the home again! I will definitely be back with my children. Thank you!

Amazing place
This house was so awesome. So much room and the pool table was awesome to have. So spaced out where everyone can have there own privacy. Checking in was easy and if I needed anything it was just a phone call away. Close to town and the views were so beautiful. I will definitely rent this house again in the future.

Perfect stay
Spacious and nicely kept property. Has all the amenities you need, including a gas grill, basketball hoop, pool table etc. Great location, overlooks Gull Lake and very close to June Mountain. Definitely would stay here again.

Weekend get away with friends
Overall it was a great place. A beautiful house, awesome location, with dynamic views of the Sierra Nevada. Easy check in, easy check out, clean, etc. The only thing it's lacking, no access to internet. Which for a few of my group was a major let down. :-( That is the only reason I'm giving Villa Lago a 4 star.
