'Een prachtige plek. Maar het is back to basic. In de avond niks te doen, geen barretje om aan te zitten. Strandbars alleen open op tijden van de dagjes mensen(10-15 uur), geen snacks verkrijgbaar. 'I really loved this stay! The island was very nice, I loved being able to immerse myself in nature. I saw wild parrots too! The island is very walkable, and there is a little store next door with sodas and chips, which we enjoyed.

'After booking, we repeatedly messaged the hotel for directions and only got a reply at 7:55am on check-in day, telling us the only boat left Cartagena at 8:15am. No way to make it. They then sent a contact for a 9am boat costing 90k + 30k port tax, though cheaper 70k options exist. Given boats run only until 9am and transport can cost as much as two nights’ stay, this should be clearly stated before booking – we could easily have missed the first night.

'We had a great time. The property has two residences. The chefs/cleaners are in a house at the back. They were really great. Especially great cooks! We provided the groceries and they cooked in the outside kitchen to perfection and cleaned after each meal. For us, it was all authentic Colombian food, which is what we wanted.The location is great.
