Pack de bienvenue. Buanderie extérieure avec machine à laver. Jardin avec pelouse clos avec coin salon, meubles de jardin et barbecue. Parking privé pour 1 voiture. Ne pas fumer. Remarque: l'accès au jardin n'est pas directement disponible depuis la maison. Soigneusement restauré selon un très bon standard, Walnut Cottage fait partie de la famille du propriétaire depuis plusieurs générations et remonte au XIVe siècle. Il s’agit du plus ancien cottage de Sproughton. Jumelé et situé dans le centre du village, il a beaucoup de caractère, il a un poêle à bois dans le salon et un jardin ensoleillé clôturé où les clients peuvent prendre leurs repas en plein air. Offrant un accès routier facile à de nombreuses villes et villages historiques de l'est de l'Angleterre, il est idéalement situé pour visiter les villes du comté de Norwich, Ipswich et Colchester, ou prendre le train pour une journée à Londres. Les villages pittoresques de Long Melford, Lavenham, Clare et Bildeston se trouvent tous à quelques minutes en voiture. Aussi pratique pour Constable Country et la Suffolk Heritage Coast. Magasinez 50 verges, pub et restaurant à 100 verges.

Very comfortable, home from home feel when you walk into Walnut cottage. The owners were really helpful and informative with regards to places to eat and drink. Along with places to visit. Lovely walks along the river and plenty of areas to have a game of fetch with the pooch.

When I mentioned it was my daughters 21st, they got her a card & bubbly, so thoughtful. They gave us information surrounding the history of the property, a great insight & an amazing welcome basket. The place was beautiful & cosy. They advised on walks for our dogs & the garden was pretty & safe for them. Would highly recommend

Quaint cottage

Lovely quaint cottage with absolutely everything you need...and more. We parked outside the village hall due to difficulty getting in and out of driveway with cars parked opposite. The garden was beautiful and we enjoyed our time sitting out there. Good location and Morrisons less than 5 mins drive away. The only negative is that it is right on a busy road and the cars drive very fast through the village.

A very cosy cottage, well designed interior with all the creature comforts. Very clean and well maintained. Enjoyed the wood burner of an evening, with a glass of red wine. I was very grateful for the hamper containing goodies, tea coffee, milk and bread etc. Andrew called a couple of days before driving over to Suffolk, related the cottages history, places to visit, shops and general information. He called again just after I’d arrived to make sure all was well. And once more before departure. Very thoughtful. I enjoyed the whole experience and would not hesitate to book again. A very characterful cottage. Quite small, although that was no problem for 2of us and a dog. A lovely garden to relax in. Exiting from parking space into the road was very challenging - not helped by the neighbour parking directly opposite. Ideally situated for visiting Constable country, Sutton Hoo and Lavenham. A beautiful quirky Tudor cottage.Well equipped,beautiful bedding,comfy beds and plenty of towels provided.Didn't need to take any cleaning products etc all provided.Large dishwasher and plenty of crockery too.lovely little secure garden.A very generous welcome pack included butter,bread,eggs,cheese,biscuits cake and wine!! The owner contacted us to give us information on the area etc. Only comments the carpets need a clean or replacing as cream and difficult to keep clean in a rented property.Also as pets welcome to have dog bowls(which we did take in case) We had a lovely time in a lovely cottage.

You could not ask for more in a holiday cottage. The cottage is equipped like it's someone's home, with everything from bottle openers to a slow cooker! The space is comfortable and warm. And it is decorated impeccably. Will definitely be returning soon!

We have just returned from a fabulous weekend at Walnut Cottage. It was lovely to stay in a house with such history and character. It is very well equipped and had everything we needed during our stay. The very generous welcome pack was a very thoughtful touch and it was great to be able to enjoy the wine in the lovely garden in the sunshine. We can thoroughly recommend the cottage as we loved everything about it.

This is the second time we have stayed here and I have no doubt we will be back again. The cottage is a delight with everything you would need. Due to the time of year we weren't able to sit out in the pretty garden but our dogs enjoyed it. The owner is so very helpful and nothing is too much trouble for him. A lovely welcome basket of bread, milk eggs etc plus choccies and wine is very much appreciated . The cottage is so lovely, warm and welcoming. A sheer delight. Can't wait to come back

We had a lovely few days at walnut cottage. There was just the two of us which was fine as it is quite cosy. There is everything you need there and the cottage was beautifully clean and well-presented. The welcome pack is extremely generous with the basics ie bread, milk, butter and eggs being provided as well as some goodies such as cake and biscuits. There is lots to do around the area and a nice pub only a few minutes walk. Andy the owner was so helpful in all our dealings with him from providing information before we went, checking all ok when we were there and a follow-up phonecall after our stay to ensure we were pleased with everything. We would certainly recommend Walnut cottage.

Lovely cosy and quirky cottage, full of character, ideal for the two of us. Although the cottage can accommodate four people I feel it would be overcrowded with four adults in the living and dining areas. The welcome pack consisted of local products and was extensive some of which was from the well stocked community shop. We have no hesitation in recommending.

Nice cottage but definitely needs a refresh along with more time given over to cleaning after guests have left. Garden is beautiful although no direct access from cottage is a bit of a nuisance. Very busy road so care needed if you have dogs - a neighbour manages to park opposite drive making access tricky! Great walks very close by & handy for visiting the area

Well what a surprise! If you can find a better cottage at this price please let me know, Spotlessly clean & beautifully decorated. The owner had left an amazing welcome pack of local food, wine & treats. A lovely log burner in the lounge, along with central heating kept the cottage really warm & cosy. The beds were really comfortable, watch your head on the low doorways. Great pub, The Wild Man, just 100 yards away with great food & ales. This is a cottage of great character but beautifully renovated with all modern amenities. We would definitely recommend this cottage to anyone & will certainly stay there again ourselves.
