We stayed in this motel for one night - The exterior is beautiful and it has a nice view of the mountains.
We arrived around 7:45pm - The owners left an enveloppe on the office door to give us the instructions: easy check-in.
They offer breakfast at 7am in the morning (even if the website says it's not included).
The room is small but has everything you need. The bed is comfortable, bath towels are great, microwave is a plus.
It's clean if you're not too picky - There's dust under the bed and the side tables.
BUT it is way too noisy (we were in room 8) - You can hear the road as if all the windows were open (they were not), you can hear every word coming out of your neighbour's mouth (not just mumbling: e v e r y words - we even heard someone beating eggs in the morning) and the AC is so noisy it's impossible to sleep with it on (and it was too hot to sleep without so...).
It was good for one night.
Super cute cottages. Iâm in a suite with a living room, kitchen and separate bedroom and bath. Well kept, thoughtful selection of decor. Super comfy. Beautiful shared spaces and porch.
Only difficulty is lack of restaurants and groceries.
I booked this property thinking it was close to national parks. I didnât find out until too late to cancel. We left one day early to get closer to Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Parks. The owners were very friendly and asked us to join them for pizza and wine. We met some of their friends. If we were hikers, this would be an ideal place to stay. We did travel north to see some of the beautiful mountains and lakes.
I decided to stay at the Mount Williamson Basecamp on my way down to Palm Springs as I had a specific reason to be in Independence for the evening. I had no idea the charming little gem this spot is! If they have a room, make sure to stay there!
Beautiful, clean, cozy, cottage with fantastic views!!! Loved it and would highly recommendâŠ
Could use staff though in case we needed anything but the office was closed.
Other than that, it was wonderful!!
We loved our experience here! We were in town for the night before hiking Big Pine Lakes. Clean, cozy and great location for all the awe inspiring hiking nearby!
This was a great place to stay. Ideal for people prior to heading on their mountain adventures. I was very pleasantly surprised. Nice, decorative property. Cabins are small but clean and well cared for. Nice quality towels, bed, etc. Also included is a sit down breakfast served to you. I highly recommend!
