Pensions in Imabari

'Every once in a great while you find a place where you wish you could stay extra days. This is one of those places! We had a group of nine people so we booked the entire Omoya house (6 bedrooms) which worked great for us. The cordial host came out to meet us when we arrived. The house is beautiful, and impeccably clean. It is well equipped with lots of dishes, pans, appliances. The grounds are gorgeous, peaceful and quiet. I definitely hope to go back sometime soon!'

'The host was very welcoming and made everything very fun. He had mican and snacks and water for us. He didn't speak much English, but he had a detailed book about the place with pictures and explanations in English. The place was so Quaint and over 100 years old, but we'll maintained and clean with modern amenities. The futon and bedding were very comfortable. 'Location and staff were great but amenities were lacking. No toothbrush? Check-in time only between 4-8 pm? Property had no onsen? These are pretty standard items for Japanese hotels and for the price, they should have been provided.'

'Our stay at Shiomachi Roya in Tomonoura was one of the highlights of our trip to Japan. I was impressed by the renovations done to turn this old merchant house into an inn. I liked the design and decor. The staff were all very pleasant and helpful. Because this particular house (Roya) has only 4 rooms to stay in, the staff are located at another sister inn literally just around the corner, one minute away.
